£12.52 equivalent was my lowest buyin price billy, i bought a lot of em when they bought BG, was jammy enough to own BG then so sold those high and bought shell low, never been so lucky since. The old charts from those times are nice to look at.
NEVER SELL SHELL!!! ride the ups and downs take the divi and add on the lows all rapped up in an ISA ya wont go far wrong over the years
day don't upset me matey I had shell way back had an average of about £19 quid but don't forget they fell through the floor so did the rest of the oilers what did RDSb go to £13 quid or so?
Billy. Just looked through those rdsb figures in the mrs IsA.
she holds 4543 shares there for a total investment of £83709. bought since 2016. Current average of £18.30ea, so sitting on a CG of £4000 even at todays ****ty price. (would be over £21k CG at £24 share as recently)
Since 2016 has also received divis worth £22950 in total.
Not going to be getting that from the TSB or Barclays :)
those divis do compound up to be a decent pile of cash over the years, thats one advantage of being a LTH and investing rather than trading. Might add up the divis recd in the mrs ISA pot for her rdsb later, just for interest to see what shes had back, to complicated to do it for our total holding as they are spread about.
If we both live long enough we might get our money back over tbe years :-)))
Dam right Day :-)
no me either Billy, be a long time before we see those prices again i fear. Keep taking the divis in the meantime mind :)
I still cant sit down from the caning I took from these 2 alone .. :-(
Glencore £4.17 :-(
Day good luck matey ...if only we had sold BP at £6 :-(
UU SVT PNN are all at highs, so something industry related behind the sentiment at the moment. Could just be people moving to defensive stocks. Could argue PNN rumoured sale of Viridor is proping that SP up, but SVT already shifted their waste arm years back, dont know about UU, so i dont think thats it either. Im just going to keep a watch over the day and see where it goes, couple of dips and pick ups already today, im seeing upwards trend still at the mo - but who knows really, certainly not me.
UU .. it's at its highest it's ever been it cant keep going now can it? Whats driving the SP? at this level what's the divi? 3.5%?...still better than the bank but if it retraced back to £9 area that's a lot better :-)
Steady Day dont get too greedy ....watch the fecking thing go to £11.50 or summat like
that would be nice if it does Ken, still looking good today
Still going lads is it going for 1100 ?
CPI index beat expectation so good for the GBP and Brit companies
WHAT GOI G ON WITH THIS BOARD? ITS ALL BROKE UP I TO CATEGORIES
still closely watching at the moment billy, looking like a strong day over there, might grab a few more pennies.
No idea why the industry is continuing to climb, nothing ive heard on the grapevine, although the 3 listed firms are all up.
Day you sold?
What's going on with UU ?its never been this high its Goddard fall soon ig profit take ;-)
Am watching that one closely Ken, whole industry is up so far today so maybe a cheeky bit more legs in UU just yet
