Z - You are under the illusion that the regulators get to grips with 'shenanigans'. They don't and never will in this fastmoving world. They are like PC Plod. I like you have been on AIM for a long long time but can honestly say that it has never been so suspect as it is now. It's rotten to the core and its mostly driven by a few racketeers masquerading as 'experts' fuelled by social media running with their 'advice'. It would be interesting to probe the origins of these money making rackets but it won't happen because they are breaking no rules. So I guess we just have to suck it up as there is so much financial impropriety going on in government circles alone the FCA have more than enough on their plate.
@bablake yes, well said. Great reply and @bully, you couldn’t have said it any better. Concise and exactly right, hence why I topped up more on the way down at 23p and 19p. Now us believers with faith in ggp will enjoy the rise for many years over multiple mining targets.
Hydrogen - been in AIM for blo ody ages and I struggle to believe regulators haven't got to grips with these 'shenanigans'.
I consider them, (therefore)...myths. Yes there is some fiddling around the edges where operators stay just under the radar, but large scale schemes like the ones you are talking about, across 850 companies on AIM alone would:
(a) make billionaires out of dozens of operators
and
(b) attract the attention of the authoritiews by now.
Neither has happened.
Bablake - your supposition seems more plausible - can't see much in there which is illegal...unethical, yes but not a law breaker.
Mind you...we are in the wild west here on AIM, so thruth may be stranger than fiction.........
The bottom line:
no-one can change the laws of physics. Solid fundamentals (like GGP's), always rewards the brave.

Hi Bablake,
Re: If we see a rise of today's magnitude tomorrow, what does that tell us?
Q1: Those that want considerably more cannot get them at less than 20p?
Q2: If we see an equal reversal tomorrow, what does that tell us?
Cannot see a same % reversal IMHO. but if it happened someone would be trading a very large
volume? What we have seen I believe is a sustained price supression in order to fill a large or several large orders.
Overall, IMHO against a bacdrop of news over the next 12 months plus the Shaun Day interview posted by Paddy, plus inflation etc, I think we will start to see a recovery that begins to reflect what we already have ie, Haverion plus what we also may potentially have (the exciting bit) on our other 100% owned tenaments!
Jiffy you missed my point me thinks... what happened today was an answer not a question.
Gotta go now my friend
Jiffy, just before I go to bed, I ask this...
If we see a rise of today's magnitude tomorrow, what does that tell us?
If we see an equal reversal tomorrow, what does that tell us?
Not playing games my friend.. a story is to be told about either outcome but either way, I am confident that in 3 years time I will be buying considerably more sovereigns than my mother ever did.

@Bablake,
Re what happened today....I think you have already answered your own question.
'This is a positive for PI's because you should be alerted to the fact that a massive investor (or indeed investors) is willing to pay more than current SP because they know that in 3 years time their investment will be worth at least 4 times more!'
Just to add, against a backdrop of so much news dropping over the next 12 months, so not going to be easy is it?
What happened today?
Excellent post Bablake!, like your buy 100 million even though you only want 50 million and profit etc.
However, my thoughts that in order to achieve that, ie buying 100 million! the SP is going to have to be moved to a new high?
If so that will be the point when they sell 50 million?
Good post Bablake!
Limits... if you can't fill orders by dropping, you have to trigger limits by raising. If you're forced to raise in order to fill, you create momentum... That momentum covers the higher price paid because if you need 50 million shares you keep buying until you have 100 million. At which point you feed back 50 million (keeping liquidity going and profiting)
This is a positive for PI's because you should be alerted to the fact that a massive investor (or indeed investors) is willing to pay more than current SP because they know that in 3 years time their investment will be worth at least 4 times more!
That's just my opinion, nothing more.
Bear in mind, once the order has been filled stagnation will start to set in (even with Newcrest releases). When that happens, sentiment takes over and the likelihood is that SP will start to drop (perhaps quite quickly).
For long term PI's this is great (no pun intended) news!
An aeroplane doesn't take off after 5 seconds on the runway, it has to gain real momentum, and that takes a bit longer than 5 seconds.... It's going to happen, just be patient.
My mother bought a sovereign many many years ago... when the value fluctuated, did she panic and sell it? Of course not!
Anyone - any ideas why this has spiked today?
Could it be the:
1. Scally assays (pt2)?
2. MRE (indicated) for the SE Crescent and Breccias?
