PEL 29
The firm additional work programme consists of various studies, including mapping of source rock, mapping of contourites deposits, fault studies and amplitude versus offset (AVO) analyses and extended elastic impedance (EEI) studies on seismic data. The financial commitment to undertake the firm additional work programme is US$350,000.

Maybe , but also there is 2D already been acquired down the deeper side of the region of Namibia and may be adding 3D now. If this covers all of our blocks by the end of the programme, it puts us much closer to a deal, in so much as a potential farmee has a better insight to what they are buying. Or could be a deal on the strength of the results.
It looks like all the vessels have been to the Walvis bay and on their way back to the field. Re-fueling and supplies I guess. Apparently they work round the clock, in case of bad weather or even may have to do double runs if a run has been spoiled
A question.. does the fairway run all the way up to the Walvis Ridge?
Brupadda is at a water depth of 1431m.. The Paddavissie Fairway. A recent article..
Petroleum Geo-Services ASA is acquiring 2,200 sq km of 3D seismic using the PGS Apollo seismic vessel. In this second phase of 3D seismic work on the block, the joint venture plans to cover the remainder of the Paddavissie Fairway to better delineate the prospects and leads identified on the previous 2D and 3D data.

So we are indeed tracking down the 1000m contour line 21.09S-12.36E, looking good
The navigation buoys (pink dots) look to been left behind, but is just the time lapse of 13 hours since they were last recordered. (Click on them for the times)
PGS is under contract with Namcor, but they are partners with us and they are in our blocks
You would think at some point it would have to be rns'd. As it has only just happened we may see something next week
One of the four vessels earlier this morning split and is heading to Walvis bay for supplies, looks like another is doing the same. The two main vessels have been out for weeks and have had just one return for supplies and re-group. The survey is still on going as the navigation aids are still showing on the map
Ah... yes. I get what you are saying now. Mmmm.. it is interesting. How can they get away with not informing the market?
I was talking more about the fairway between the 1000m and 2000m contour lines, which runs into the western half of PEL94 (Welwitschia deep)and the whole of PEL29 (Gembok)
This fairway misses the shallow blocks PEL30,37, 33 and 45. Might be why Eco are not in a rush to drill Cooper and why Tullow pulled out. Still they have Guyana ;-)
Sounds like it’s possibly the zone/channel which appears to run through PEL 44 leading on through PEL 37 and into PEL 94.

It very much looks like they could be checking out the fairway between GBP blocks and PEL82&44 , Exxon have an interest in both blocks
The survey vessels have turned in at the northern border of PEL94. So have not entered into TRP blocks
Apart from Namcor I would like to know who is directing this show
From a GBP point of view so far, it is very promising
Still in PEL 94 currently , will have to wait and see this afternoon if they continue through trp and back, i guess they probably will and then each cycle will take them further west
Have you spotted them on TRP’s blocks too?
20.55S/11.37E back into PEL 94
Other surveys completed in 2012 & 2013

The new survey in the Walvis basin currently in operation probably a 3D shoot
This link is regarding the Namibe basin just completed for Namcor, but Exxon will be all over this for sure

Namcor/PGS Still have 2 years left on this deal..
PGS Pens 10-Year Deal for Seismic Surveys Off Namibia
The agreement also provides PGS with the rights to acquire 3D MultiClient surveys.
https://mobile.offshoreenergytoday.com/pgs-pens-10-year-deal-for-seismic-surveys-off-namibia/
indeed it is, makes you wonder who is the client is and is it still Exxon ?
Certainly this is now a Walvis Basin survey and is working on the deeper blocks including ours
Currently over Oranto's block?
S 21 / E011?
Worth keeping an eye these PGS vessels, still shooting seismic surveys. They reached as far as the bottom of PEL34 down the eastern boarder line and now on the return journey north again

PGS are still in our PEL94 shooting a seismic survey, there has to be an rns soon regarding this matter
The Maersk Voyager has left the Walvis Bay and looks to be on it's way to Angola, apparently it has two wells in Angola before spudding the Venus 1 well
Hopefully there will be news before then re-farm out
Following on from last night the, PGS vessels currently surveying through Welwitschia deep in PEL94
Now why would they do that ?

Counting the pictures from the end up 15 and 21 GBP in attendance by way of Paul Howlett at the recent Frontier Big 5 awards. Paul pictured with Impact oil & gas Mike Doherty clearly having a good time and Envoi's Mike Lakin, currently working on the Serica farm out

The link shows four blue vessels heading south and the pink dots shows it is shooting a seismic survey. Placing the cursor over the vessels then shows the longitude and latitude positions in the top right corner. Two of the vessels are the Sanco Swift and the Sanco Scorpio. They may have finished in the Exxon blocks and are possibly heading home, will have to wait and see. However currently they are running down the dividing line between block 1910A and 1911 (TRP), which puts them on course for the boarder between our PEL29 & 94 . They did this before when heading north to the Exxon blocks some weeks ago
