When I see de-rampers I just invest more into that share.
Simple
Bishop190 - Only time will tell whether I am making the right decision to stay invested in GBP. I don't see myself as being a GBP ramper , I will however continually challenge the false narratives posted by Geowiz, he / she has been doing this for years on this chat page but the intensity of the false narratives has grown during the last year. Just click on Geowiz's username, you will see deramps targeted at Aim Listed Oilers, that is his / her modus operandi.
Finally, I would like to make clear that my investment in GBP is covered by my best performing oil share, I do not encourage others to buy or sell GBP shares.
ARahim …. you’ve completely and utterly made that up.
***** …. maybe the amount of research I’ve done created perceptions in your mind that I was a large holder, but that was not the case. Some of the holdings I’ve seen mentioned on here are very impressive, but way out of my league. I just enjoyed doing the research and sharing my findings with others, not much more to it than that really
Good luck to both of you.
You make a number of fair points iog, we will see where it goes. I hope you are right as I am not planning to sell being an investor not a trader.
Thanks ARahim but that is not what he intimated. Although i do believe you're right and he is a deramper. If somethings smell like a cow shed it always is!
spike sold a long time ago and invested in eua. but unfortunately for him it want down as well. so he is looking for a cheap way in here.
You have gone very quiet Spike. Forgive me for asking the question as i did but i thought i would look for a big sell. Maybe you have sold in lots of small tranches but still can't even see many of those since your announcement. You made it sound like it was immediate. If it was you must have been a very small holder as no big sells being shown, the biggest sell since you made your statement is a volume of 1000,000 which is just about 5k but that was some time after your comment!
Give over... It's an INVESTMENT Opportunity! Not a hint for a fundraise... LOL!!
If you read the "investment" webinar. The clue is in the title
Investment Proposition & Timelines - hint hint
I've emailed the NOMAD about the difference in shares that ETX have reported on the company website but seemingly have failed to TR1 !
stay calm. bid will come in time. some have timed expectations. that will not happen all the time in aim. we are here for the good results not the spikes.
Have people also seen the previous similar webinar announcement from last week?
Part of the answer you"ll find over there as Graff and Venus results came in a little later...

Bishop190,
If I may say, you have not covered yourself in glory today.....here are a few reasons why the GBP bid deadline has been extended:-
- Shell and Total have to my knowledge NOT released any detailed information on the Graff 1 and Venus 1 discoveries, potential farm in partners want to have information on how much / why type of oil was found.
- In my experience, potential bidders will want to take their time to fully evaluate what is being offered and not be constrained by a seller's imposed timelines.
- There is a war going on !! A number of Majors have been rattled by events, I would have thought that the mechanisms for making decisions have been impacted, in short, decisions will take more time to be made.
I could go on, but surely as a GBP shareholder, you could work this out for yourself? If my memory serves well, you have been on this chat page for years but following two Majors drilling in offshore Namibia and finding oil, you appear to have less confidence in GBP, I can't quite fathom that one out but each to their own and I wish you well with your investments.
Great price to top up again
The price action is negative primarily because people are looking at the price action to make their decisions when they should really be looking at the fundamentals. Market cap is £4.6M with a health chunk of cash giving an EV of roughly £2.5M. Marula prospect is 210 MMB 2U recoverable with 19% COS. Two massive discoveries offshore Namibia have shone a bright light on the country's oil sector and GBP has by far the lowest market cap among all the players. Currently GBP seems very mispriced and should be a multiple of the current market cap. It will take very little for this to really light up. GLA
Spike66 - Have you sold yet? or waiting for a time this afternoon
spicke66, Maggie Shino was talking about the quantity. I don't see any correlation between quantity in those total and shell wells and the quantity in gbp license. The existing light oil being proven and the the similarity of the rock formation. That will be enough for new investors to take their chances with gbp given the collected data so far.
Their are not waiting for the feasibility study as it has no link to our feasibility study which will come only after exploration drills.
Thanks Hutiesman….. I will still be following and I have a few feelers out so if I get the right signs I’ll be back like a shot. Sitting on a big loss over at EUA so need to be a bit careful at the minute :)
Spike66 Don't go, mate. We need your intel and positivity.
Hutiesman…. I’m gonna be upfront and say that I’ve bailed out for the time being. I’m still a supporter and will be looking to get back in but, even with the tips I got, I’ve lost confidence. Best of luck everybody
I'd say the interested parties need a bit more time to study and review GBP's 3D data and carry out all the technical work. This does not come overnight or happen in a couple of weeks. Plus there is possibly much stronger interest / demand after the very recent successes of Shell and Total giving it a further kick start.
I have contacted them again to give us an update. I suggest everyone should do the same and contact them. As I fear, the confidence might be lost here. Let not the repeat of Argo Blockchain happen here.
Yeah thought so. It was Maggie Shino, a Namibian Petroleum Commissioner who said the following after Shell made their official announcement about the Graff discovery;
Give us enough time and by May, June, we be able to have enough data accessed to be able to confidently let you know about the quantity we are talking about here,"
The timescale could have changed since then I suppose but, on the strength of this, April 30th seems too early. Thoughts anyone ?????
I think that’s a pretty poor show by GBP. The Shell & Venus timelines have been known for months now and the results were not going to be known by mid-January. By delaying now it implies that by “results” they actually mean the appraisal outcomes. Didn’t NAMCO make a statement that the appraisal results from Shell would be May ? So I’m struggling with the new bid deadline being 30th April…. I’m not sure that there will be any more information available by then to be honest.
All of that said, should commercial viability be confirmed by Shell or Total we would get a much better deal than we could at the moment. So although this is a little frustrating I think it’s a good decision for shareholders.
@iog, maybe they can but I cannot find anything concrete to assure me of that. I continue to hold the shares but with less confidence in the outcome.
I find it worrying too that the deadline has been extended, why?
