lol
dreadful imv
tp 220p for oversold bounce
Hardly knee jerk. That was a bad trading update, whichever way you look at it, in fact, I don't understand how they are still above 300. They are ridiculously over valued. The only reason I can see that it hasn't collapsed is that this was well flagged previously and isn't a surprise to the market.
Recovering from -13% in a couple of hours. Knee jerk reaction or what?
I can't see much progress here until we get some changes at the top. Anybody involved in the overpriced Acuant acquisition should be told to pack up and leave. That should definitely include the CEO and the head of GBG's US operations. I've no confidence in them, surely institutional shareholders must be thinking the same.
Less than stellar trading, but it looks like the market wasn't expecting much, judging from the muted share price reaction.
Speaking generally, I've been noticing that in-line or marginally disappointing results are not being as severely punished as they were a few months ago, which tells me we are now bumping along the bottom, at least in UK small cap world. If I'm right, it's just a matter of staying patient and we can expect fewer nasty surprises. ...
...apart from any surprises in Ukraine - that should be mentioned as I listen to Putin delivering a chilling and deluded speech on the anniversary of his 'special military operation'.
Wonder if they still are. the steady falling sp suggests most investors are not.
Up 7%?
Final top up at £3.44 this morning, fully locked and loaded
Have you been polishing your crystal ball again?
Who knows.............
Topped up at £3.27
Getting close to the 52 week low here. Very tempting to buy in, even though catching a falling knife ....
Yes, the narrative surrounding the Report is all a bit 'jam tomorrow', but the share price reaction this morning was quite mad: I had the price down 10% at 315p at 8.12am, and now it's at 352p, up slightly on the day. Crazy moves!
Not great, no profit with sales increasing. Good recovery from £3.20 this morning though

D'accord as they say in Wolverhampton.
The conspirancy theorist in me says that the nakedtrader has sold and the brokers have dropped the price knowing that when his followers find out they'll want to sell too.
"I feel this is a complete gamble".
Welcome to UK small cap world!
A world where - like today - the price can drop 7.5% on no news and thinly traded volumes.
A world where sentiment trumps rationality and the only thing that is predictable is that you are likely to be wrong-footed on a regular basis.
I really wonder why I invest here. The gambler in me I suppose, but the odds are stacked against long-only retail investors such as me.
I feel this is a complete gamble since good updates result in a sp drop. Seems there's something the market doesn't like/trust.
The P/E I think is more like 20 than 56(?)
Wouldn't mind betting that the NT sells at £4.
the debt's irrelevant (a blip on EV) imv
this has nothing to do with debt or FX...everything to do with sentiment to high growth plays as free money era definitely ends
with the dramatic change in sentiment this week to US yields, this is now a screaming buy imv
tp £6++
A lot has changed in the last couple of months, as a more sensible fiscal policy is returning to the UK. While falling US inflation, if it continues, will see a less aggressive interest rate stance from the Fed. Currency markets factoring the changes, the Dollar strength is weakening. We could see the Pound back over $1.20 very soon, unless Russia or China interfere. Is good news regarding the Acuant acquisition debt which has already shrunk in Pound terms by many millions.
Yes US profits will be getting smaller but US costs will be also. Paying back the debt, with less interest payable, is more important to my mind.
Seems like a good day to be a buyer here.
Added here.
Never know another bid could come.
who knows...may double bottom around £3
when to seriously scale in here is the only issue imv
Keep waiing for another dip, but hasn't really been one, so have bought in today.
Still keeps on quietly rising. More Monday I’d think
