Yes - down currently!
Market finally waking up to how cheap this is ?? Possibly !
Lets just wait & see. We had this the other day, where it charged into the 140's before falling back into the red.
This SP has been following the price of FE 65% down, since late July, when the iron ore prices price hit a peak.
However , whilst the FE65% price has dropped 35.5% since late July, the SP here has dropped 49% ...so ..you could say that the CEO "issue" has played a part too...
3.6% uptick this morning inside an hour......interesting......sellers playing a game now buying back in ?
NI, I believe you were also bullish on MTRO and SXX. I tend to believe the market rather than the views of amateur investors on these boards. However, being invested at 258 I hope that in this instance you are correct
Is there any volume with the share? Every time I look there never seems to be any big buys?
Repression - it only gets cheaper because holders have been selling! Total madness that its now down at 130
I wonder whether 130 will hold this time? Fundamentals, p/e of 2 etc all very well but why does it keep getting cheaper?
Cheapest miner on the market and getting cheaper!
Bidding in auction 50% greater, not seen that in FXPO since buying. Bottom maybe finally in.
No one has been able to call another miner that has cheaper ratio's so like the Baron just accumulate. When this starts moving properly, it will be a big talking point again as it's a very fast mover.
Cheapest miner on the LSE by a country mile. The rapid rebound maybe about to begin. But either way, it's a matter of time
Indeed Maksym, would also add that cash/margins will increase further on increasing production to 12million tonnes each year
It is very important that they are now working to reduce their cost so that they are not completely dependent on external factors in the future. Since in Ukraine there are not enough locomotives for the transportation of goods, due to the fact that grain production has grown over the past 5 years from 40 to 80 million tons per year
Maksym - was reading earlier that they plan to increase production also further from today's 10.5MT to 20MT. At today's run rate and pricing, that would see FXPO generating more than $1.2BN cash from operations each year (before investment, dividends, sustaining capex etc). Upside here is simply huge. I note that production is jumping by a further 13% or so too by the end of 2020. This is not one to be selling at such a crazy price.
Ferrexpo Group needs 10-12 locomotives to launch private traction on its own pellet transportation routes to Yuzhny Port. This was stated in the comment by GMK Center by Vitaliy Oleinik, senior logistics manager of the subsidiary Ferrotrans.
According to him, the head of the UZ Yevgeny Kravtsov is interested in less powerful locomotives, since in Ukraine there is a decrease in the weight of freight trains.
Ferrexpo, as a carrier of iron ore, on the contrary, is interested in increasing the mass of the train. “If we talk about the 54-car train, then the Chinese eight-axle BKG-1 will do,” Oleinik said. However, in the case of a 64-car train weighing more than 6 thousand tons, Siemens or Alstom locomotives are suitable.
“We do not yet know what specific locomotives we will acquire. We conducted only framework negotiations with all these companies. There will be no concrete decision on the admission of private traction on the public path, ”said Oleinik.
FXPO is now trading below a PE of 2 but can't envisage that for much longer. Added a few more today so an average of 139p now. If anyone can call a cheaper miner and back it with the ratio i'm all ears. The challenge has been open for a couple of days now :)
Ive bought this at 34p before! So have good history :)
Yv - the board have already confirmed they will take the necessary action. The market knows this is in the best shape ever, the lowest of valuation multiples, it's already totally in the price!!
Deepest - you got lower than me, am in from 144 myself and will add a few more tomorrow. The rise back up will certainly be rapid.
Agree I go with sentiment.
:-)
Nickel, what are your thoughts if the allegations are indeed true? I admit, financially the company looks very healthy but sentiment around this investigation isn't looking good. Sitting on the fence, watching closely though.
Deepest, despite your deramping we all knew you wanted in :) Welcome lol
The challenge remains open not just to Deepest but to all. Name a cheaper miner if you can ............................. a lower profit multiple, a bigger discount to nav, a greater div payout.
Agree. Trend is down for now click 1 month view. Ouch.
I am in and will be at a further discount imho in the future. Best wishes
