Does anyone know what's going on with FML? For some reason my broker never sold my shares. So I have shares in a company that's delisted... Any advice?
Thanks...... just thought we could still use lse , just a different and unused board ( ie fmpg )
re prev post.. There is a facebook group 'frontier mining' which im hoping we can use for if any info comes out etc :-) or ill see how long iii bb stays up - sometimes can be a while
I guess this bb will disappear soon? Is there another on lse where we could exchange info etc? fmpg is next alphabetically and it's current unoccupied?
Likewise was shareholder there but like you that doesn't really bring back nostalgia for me like those days in frontier mining. You know i may even still keep an eye on it over on JPJenkins was gonna take little punt on it but got day it was gonna delist wrong. So maybe i will buy in yet. Agree is high risk and guess would be nostalgia for me too maybe frame certificate with Frontier mining does bring back good memories for me. The good ole days of 2009 eh.
Yes I remember those days well i was in from 0.8p -5p i think so not quite as good as you but remember there was really good camoradie amongst shareholders. I was shareholder in Serabi was very negative amongst shareholders there almost depressing actually. Guy on a chat board said i should take a look at FML and liked so took the plunge. Sold serabi and bought FML. Really thought Yerlan was going to do the business. Great first share to have for you by either great judgement or beginners luck.
Yeah FML was the first AIM share i invested in when i started investing (along with VGM goldmines but i wont speak about that disaster).. i caught the rise back in the day from 0.5 to 8 p :-) Since then i bought a small amount last year i think it was at 1.5p and sold at 1 with a loss.. Been on the sidelines ever since.. but saw it at around 0.002-0.003 to buy yesterday so thought i would have a punt on it ;-) Maybe was nostaglia, not wise investment, but got a couple of million for 500 quid..
Your welcome. I didn't realise could see trades online thanks for the link. Was you an old shareholder in the company like myself back in the day?
Hey If anyone is still around, then FML is now on the JP Jenkins site for anyone interested where you can see any trades if they occur and the indicated price.. http://lmmx.co.uk/companies/profile/frontier-mining-ltd/
Yeah thanks.. is quite a risk (so wont be expecting my money back) but i really liked this company back in the day so hope they have a change in fortune and manage to sort themselves out.. i think if they pull it off will be a big payoff...
Hey good luck with holding them into delisting. I had shares in avalon oil when they delisted had to wait years and years forgot about them then found had trebled my money though must admit i had no idea they were gonna delist. I think if this comes off for you will be way north of that so well worth the gamble. I was gonna buy a few of them into delisting gutted i missed out thought they were delisting friday close instead of last night. Must say though they really messed up i remember the day when erlan sagdiev came in was exciting place to be, far cry from where they are now I held TXO into suspension also intentionally with this one, expecting good things here one way or another if they return to market or delist. You now have a shahreholding in a private copper miner and exposure to Benkala. Loving your calculated risk, all the best with that.
nah still holding... Will see how it plays out on the off chance theres a sale
Thats interesting did you make a profit get out or decide to hold into delisting?
Yeah got an average of 0.0027.. and it was 0.003 to sell ;-)
Spread as %: 233.33%
One article i've found.. my thoughts re the company is not as in dire straits as it seems.. Spencer Winfield at stockbroker Charles Stanley replies: The fact that the company has de-listed from the Alternative Investment Market (Aim) does not affect your statutory rights as a shareholder. Should the company be taken over you will still be entitled to any proceeds, be it by way of cash or stock. There are, however, certain requirements in terms of matters such as reporting and presentation of accounts that are placed upon the company by Aim itself. Once the company has de-listed there will no longer be any obligation on the company to continue to keep to these. From a practical perspective the delisting will obviously make it more difficult for you to dispose of your holding should you need to. Having said this, it is not unusual for companies that are not listed to provide a dealing facility via their company secretary's office, whereby they will match approaches from buyers and sellers of their stock. The other main disadvantage of delisting will be the ease with which you are able to obtain information. Research houses will not usually follow a stock after it has de-listed so there is unlikely to be any easily accessible form of independent analysis on the business. lol
Hey Does anyone know how it would work if the company was sold once delisted. Is the only way to find this out via their website? Would shareholders see a share of the proceeds?
It means if you want to sell your shares, JP Jenkins must have a buyer lined up wanting to buy them. If not, then you cannot sell them. It is the same in reverse, if you want to buy shares.
a massive gamble. Was in here quite a while ago but bough a couple of million for the off chance a sale happens once de-listed ;-) Total punt money
What do you mean by matched buyer and seller basis. Cheers
Today is the last day of trading on the stock exchange for FML shares. I received my paper share certificate today from my stockbroker, as they can no longer hold the shares electronically. As from close of business today, the shares can only be traded on a matched buyer / seller basis, via JP Jenkins.
