huge debt cleared
extra routes that they will be flying
there is some huge News coming,
I AM IN HERE BEFORE THE MASSES GET WIND OF THIS DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH.
Yeah! Let's all buy a money leaking African airline during a global pandemic. Sounds like a recipe for success!
your loss.
they have just sold one of the planes and cleared off a huge amount of debt.
this price is not rising for nothing.... you do the maths, in or out your choice.
That’s fine........ not even going to debate Move on to your next constructive comment. Little wonder people inc me don’t come on here and share all they know......
Omg sum people really know how NOT to offer sensible comment.
Breakfree- appreciate any info you have on Fjet. You mentioned a possible Tanzanian airline acquisition?
This is just a bet on the sale of Zimbabwe Fastjet, IMO - which will bring the cash needed to keep things going. I think that wont go through until Mid-late May at the earliest though, as they arent due to start flights again until next week and then there are further discussions due to finalise the final price. Originally they were talking about $8m but I suspect it will be less than that.
They do still have some debts. Fastjet Zimbabwe still owes Solenta US$1.4 m for example, and that will no doubt be paid out of the Fastjet Zimbabwe sale
I have taken a punt on Tuesday afternoon just on that basis, and the fact the low had been reached and things looked like they were turning.
The MCAP is worth more than £3m if they get that sale through - simply because the IP on using the Fastjet name is probably worth £3m itself. They paid $2.5m to Stelios for it and they want to franchise it out, at some point for revenue, but they dont want to run the airline that might use it.Just provide services and receive royalties on the name use.
I dont see Fastjet buying any airline. That is the last thing they will want to do right now. Fed Air needs $1m by the end of the year at its revenues are at a standstill too, and they dont expect tourist flights until the end of the year, at the moment.
South Africa has lockdown as well, of course and the country in economic downturn.
The GRoup's Intention is : RNS 27th November 2019
"The restructured Group would become a capital light business operating as a franchise house that would earn revenues through the fastjet brand and providing airline management solutions, whilst also continuing to hold its investment in the FedAir business.
The Group's strategy is to focus on franchise and providing airline management solutions to additional airlines in Africa that are independently owned, enhancing its overall revenues from these.
Additionally, the Group would aim to only own airlines once they were cash generative and profitable, so avoiding the initial costs and significant cash losses through the airline startup phase and from operating in Africa's sometimes uncertain trading environment."
I am only intending to hold short term. Good luck on this one if you decide to hold for the new business.
Pokerchips has 'done the maths' and I agree with him. Still won't be buying any.
"a possible Tanzanian airline acquisition "
Personally I doubt very much they would acquire an airline, especially after recently pulling out of Tanzania.
However, The Fastjet name is well known in Tanzania and the idea of an airline paying royalties to use the Fastjet name and the Fastjet website etc is a possibility - IMO
They never made any profit in Tanzania running FJET there - never say never - but I cant see them buying an airline there just now....
Just my 2 cents
Good luck
the question to be asked is, when the new buyers price is on show for this very cheap airline, what will happen to this price ... up up and away.
imo , get in while you can, where else can you buy shares in an airline at this price with the suspected takeover.
50+ million bought today,......... just 7 million sold, you do the math.
What do you mean you doubt.
Frankly not bothered what you doubt.
You doubt that much you took a ‘punt’
Did you know about the aircraft sale ? No
You say they won’t buy another airline. Who are you to say. They have already stated their intentions
This is new management and doing well so far. Your painting them with the same brush.
You have not done your research. That’s fact.
Also,
people have been with this share for over 5 years, where the price was £1.19, dont forget alot of the long term holders have no reason to sell.
this has the legs for 10p to 20p all day
Nice rise, long may it continue
up we go again,
guys,
did tell you @ 9am this morning.
still very early days, get in whilst its mind blowing cheap.
