With Solenta holding nearly 67% of the shares, it is unlikely they will push to have the shares re-listed on AIMS since it was them that wanted to take it off AIMS in the first place. If you look at the Asset Match page you will seem some fluctuations in company prices but only after an auction date has passed. Trouble with the FJET share price is that until travel restrictions are lifted in Africa, there is no incentive to increase the the share price on Asset Match as the business cannot currently expand. Once Covid is beaten in Africa, then there will be more travel, and more opportunities for business expansion, and only then will the price on Asset Match Increase, someway off yet I'm afraid (all in my honest opinion of course!)
Hi folks,
Belated Happy New Year.
I am still keeping the occasional check on this board, but i guess its going to be hard to get any info on performance from the company. I am sat on 3 million plus shares, as believed the value would increase post covid. Some times wish I would have bailed when the price had that quick pike. I have written of the money, so will sit back and see what happen's over the next year or so.
Do, people think the to see an increase in the share value the company needs to relist and is the any real chance of that happening.
Stay safe.
So good to see the Board coming back to life a little in this new year. Thanks, guys. Come June, maybe it'll be "bustin' out all over"!
Happy New Year to you and all still invested in this dog. With my 99.56% loss, I'm not giving up on this and can only hope that as things improve with the roll out of the Oxford vaccine, also being affordable and easier to store for African nations, with South Africa most likely to be one of the first, although Zimbabwe I expect will be down the list, then you never know, the price on Assett Match may improve late next year. Keep posting Marksman, Ronwin and all, especially if you hear of any new routes, and with any luck we may recover some of our losses!
So glad to see your response Ronwin; it probably won't surprise you to know that you were the name at the front of my mind when I made that post. Lovely to know that you're alive and well but I doubt we'll be meeting up again at the AGM this year! Still, I wish you a happier New Year and maybe some positive news from you-know-where later on in 2021.
All the very best, Marksman.
Happy New Year to you Marksman. You are the true Stalwart. An unusual Christmas and NY to be sure.
All the best to for 2021 with every hope that t will be better for you,
Over the 7-plus years since my first post on this Board in October 2013, when it was plagued with a few notorious derampers (who accused me of being a 'ramper' of course!), I don't recall such a bleak forum giving off such a strong "tumbleweed" effect.
How sad. Is there really no-one else here? No-one still holding any shares, despite their rockbottom value?
If there is, or not, let me be the sole voice wishing anyone or no-one a Very Happy New Year and a gradual hike at last in fastjet's passenger numbers and crucially, reflected in its share price.
Cheers! everybody.
Marksman
Greetings to any of the original band of "Stalwarts" still around, languishing with losses on their investment of up to 99%! It would be an ultra optimist to anticipate any significant turnaround next year but as things can't possibly get any worse, they can only get better! So here's to the end of the present threat in Africa early in 2021 and the sight of the SP slowly rising as passengers return. Meanwhile, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy - even prosperous - New Year.
Thanks

Hi Ratty, where / how do I see shares on Asset Match please?
Thanks for your very helpful pointers Ratty, I have shares but didn't have a clue where they are! What is this auction in two days all about?
So, now this as gone private how could you gauge the future share price. Company seems to be doing OK now they are flying again. ( from the web news stories).
Will we only ever see a rise if this goes listed again and are they likely to do that now they have taken the company private?
so...its good news :) but....what next ? what we can count on ?? relisting ? :)
I did see that news on the Fastjet twitter feed, good on them but I would still like to know how passenger numbers are holding up, any ideas?
Ever since this Board had some life to it – 1978 I think it was, or so it seems! – I've posted the news that fastjet won the prestigious "Africa's Leading Airline" – again. Now for the fifth consecutive year, here are the comments from an unnamed executive:
"The prestigious World Travel Awards acknowledge excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries."
Fastjet said, "We are ecstatic with our latest win, and we extend our sincere gratitude to our customers, industry regulators, travel partners and staff for their support and encouragement. Having listened to and acted on feedback from our loyal customers, we have over the years, adapted our business model, evolving to our current business model, which whilst still retaining low-cost principles extends inclusive value-based fares and new travel opportunities.
“Our fifth consecutive award, in particular during this very challenging year, reaffirms our motivation to deliver outstanding services whilst introducing new travel norms with a firm commitment to combatting the spread of the virus, increasing traveller confidence, as we continue to promote existing and new business and leisure travel and tourism opportunities in the markets we serve.
“To be voted for the fifth consecutive time as World Travel Award winner is an accolade which many strive for, and is testament to the fact that Fastjet, is consistently recognised and acknowledged by their loyal customers and travel partners.”
It's good to know that our company still commands such respect in the continent in which we continue to operate, especially at such a very difficult time. Here's to fastjet surviving it, unlike so many other businesses, and especially to the end of this terrifying pandemic.
hmmmm, more & more flights are resumed every day/week :) nice sign :)
Has anyone got any idea how passenger numbers are holding up now flights have resumed?
I'm holding out – seeing it out till the end! Or new beginning?
I'm still holding out for a price improvement on Asset Match. Price is still 0.03p per share but now until 28/10/20.
and?? how u doing guys on auction ?? any one sold anything ?? as i don't see any buying orders ?!?
....anyone still here ?!?
Good news! Internal flights to start 21-Sep-20, with possibility of S.Africa flights to follow on 01-Oct-20. Hopefully this will help the bid price on Asset Match.

Thanks for the clarification, Fossiebeer. A lapse of memory I'm afraid! Nothing new these days!
The problem is that the share price is no longer on an open trading platform. The only way to buy or sell shares now is bidding for them on assetmatch.com, therefore there will only be a price fluctuation when the current bid closure date is met which is currently 30-Sep-20. After that they will set a new price for the shares which may go up, but equally may go down, although once flying I hope it will be up of course.
This is my understanding how Asset Match works, its an auction house, but feel free to correct me if I've misinterpreted how it works.
fastjet has announced today that "We initiated robust discussions and are actively engaged with key stakeholders as we finalise plans for the recommencement of domestic flights between Harare and Bulawayo and Harare and Victoria Falls, following yesterday’s announcement by the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting.
"Whilst the airline positively deliberates on the next steps in announcing dates and a revised domestic network flying programme, they have expressed their gratitude to the Government and respective authorities and agencies for continued efforts in preparing the travel industry for a return to operations.
"The airline said it has since extended its 'flexible booking change policy' until March 2021 and advised that details on resumption of flights would be shared with customers as well as additional incentives aimed at enhancing market confidence, safety and sustainable operations."
While I wouldn't expect to see a dramatic surge in the SP following such an announcement under normal conditions, considering the markets pushed it right down to almost invisibility I would have expected it to rise just a bit from its fraction of a penny value. It can't be down to the time difference which is, after all, only one hour.
