...for Mr Bolton. When one of my oil investments goes for a duster, my friend Mr Bolton gives me comfort. Really pleased with this one since the launch. It should go from strength to strength.
Up slowly most days now, lovely.
At the time i.e.16/07 I thought you were a bit optimistic, however it looks as though we might hit it (110p) earlier than I thought! onwards and upwards.
Can anyone explain why buys are substantially more than sells but price remains static?
Looks like we are in an upward trend now....... don't fight the trend! lol Got pots of my hard earned invested in here, but with the odd punt on high risk stocks to satisfy my need for the adrenalin rush (BP)
See recent interview with AB ........ http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/anthony-bolton-i-don-t-think-we-re-heading-for-a-double-dip-recession-tele-2b5cea830615.html?x=0
28th of july anthony bolton gonna give an update....should be good might go to 110
As someone who had shares in Railtrack and money deposited in Icesave you will see that I know naff all about investments. However I have had money invested for many years in Fidelity Special Situations managed by Anthony Bolton and it did me proud. I have also visited China a couple of times in the last few years and I am awestruck by the pace of progress over there and the can do attitude. I also feel that over the next decade or so China will end up owning vast amounts of the worlds dwindling resources, as well as controlling best part of Africa. They have a vast surplus of cash to take advantage of the many opportunities that the current financial crisis is creating in the West and are pursuing them vigorously. Hopefully this will provide many opportunities for the Fund. Based purely on these observations I have had a punt on FCSS. Whether that is the kiss of death or not only time will tell. TBWG
If I buy its shr publicly, will I be receiving its management reports showing what holdings are included in the portfolio? Or how can I find out information regarding its holdings? Many thxs
Need my SIPP money to come in quickly.
I'm with Toonster on this one: This is a long term call that will be punctuated by fast gains, and similar (sweaty palmed) drops, but long term China has so much to offer it will return. I don't buy into the cult of personality that appears to follow Bolton but he is no mug, and anything that is invested will be quality++, and I think THAT is what is protecting the price of this at the moment. Handy - you may have to wait quite some time (and up your flame volume significantly) for a 90p in.
I think it would have been wiser for you to have done your research on China rather than Anthony Bolton. Research would read well on Michael Schumacher, but look at him now!
Iv'e been doing my research on Anthony Bolton & come to the conclusion that this fund will be his best performer to date, expecng 60% up at the very least YTD.
This fund has only closed as an IPO. It is now trading on LSE and the price will fluctuate with the whims of the market. You should view the 40 day cool-off as a blessing, not a curse. I have imposed my own cool-off period, as I feel that this IPO has enjoyed too much hype and will retrace to around 90p., allowing the likes of you and I to buy at a realistic price. Watch this space!
I'm a retail investor in the U.S. I've been following this fund since early 2010. However a few things I find highly unfair: 1) only high net worth individuals are let in on IPOs such as FCSS; imagine getting to buy in at £1! 2) U.S. retail investors must wait for a 40 day cool-off period before this fund becomes available via discount brokers. I called Merrill Lynch in the U.S. and they told me Monday that if I had $1M they could get me in. The system is rigged in favor of the uber-wealthy. Still, I'm waiting for the 40 day cool-off to see if I am lucky enough that the fund does not close in the meantime.
Bought a full ISA allowance. Sticking it in the draw and going to forget about it for ten years.
In @101 ish, IMO this "stock" is going to stay put for quite a while, then woosh! so if you want to make a few quid, be prepared to wait! I see you have ADVFN too T2B lol Good Luck all, but we are in the best place! Karma Baby Whizz.
These are on my watch list and marked as a 'buy on weakness'. After all the hype and a minimum buy of £2500 worth, they will inevitably come lower and will present a perfect opportunity to tuck a few away at around 90p each.
The headline is enough for me Re:"Tips From The UK's Most Successful Fund Manager" http://www.fool.co.uk/news/investing/2010/04/19/tips-from-the-uks-most-successful-fund-manager.aspx
IPO at £1. Run by Anthony Bolton. Should see FTSE250 funds and trackers buying in.
any prizes for being the first to post a message?
