I wish they’d get on with it and put a number on the table so as holders we can then decide what we’re doing! Since the Panmure approach happened the SP has hardly moved(although it was nice to get the divi a few weeks ago!). GLA
Lots of takeover code filings yesterday. Would seem to indicate Panmure Gordon remain optimistic about the deal going ahead
Price was 45p last year in April. I’d be disappointed with anything less than a multiple of this. I believe price is well undervalued currently. FCAP is in a great financial position despite the downturn, it’s cash position is growing, it doesn’t need the merger to get back to 30p and it’s not going bust so unless we’re looking at multiples then I’m not sure it’s in shareholders interest.
IMO Panmure + Finncap makes good strategic fit. But Panmure needs to offer attractive too good to turn down deal to convince the board and the shareholders. Not sure how badly Panmure wants to buy Finncap but I would think at least 30p+ would be at all considered. Any lower would be meaningless.. Sam Smith ex-CEO bought at 31p this year... DYOR, IMO.
So a bid from Panmure would mean a RTO and shareholders would own stock in the enlarged group, hmm, what price I wonder??
BUYS POURING IN
Interesting. I am not a shareholder but have watched this one fairly closely since IPO. I think there is more upside here for incumbent shareholders. I also think the combination with Panmure makes good strategic sense.
Crikey, I only looked at the one year chart!
Let’s see what happens, I guess numis etc will be keeping an eye on developments here and with prices the way they are M&A, cost savings etc etc all in play.
I think Panmure will show their hand pretty quickly........buyers now will at least bag 100% from current price imvhpo
FYI, April 2021 price was 46p
Difficult to gauge where this could end up, I was happy to buy in the twenties for the yield alone and on that basis if we’re yielding c.10 % at this level then assuming the yield holds firm, then it’s arguably worth a fair bit more than today’s rise which has only really soaked up the economic shock of the last few weeks! GLA
Looks very interesting and I can understand why Panmure would want to strike now with the SP at a year low. I would indeed be happy with 35 English pence per share. Good morning !
I was holding for recovery / growth and DIVI but 35p will do me nicely
With a BID OFFER at 15 -17 this is going nowhere. I'll go back to sleep until 2024
Will the Dividend Hunters come in en mass in September as we approach the Ex div date?
This was from the RNS last week…GLA
Dividend Declaration
The notice of AGM contains a resolution to approve a final dividend of 1.15p. Details of the final dividend proposed by the Board were included in the results for year ended 31 March 2022, announced on 14 July 2022, and the final dividend brings the total dividend for FY22 to 1.75p
The dividend will be paid on 7 October 2022 to shareholders who are on the register on the record date of 23 September 2022, and the corresponding ex-dividend date is 22 September 2022.
Good ?? dividend, have bought today. Hopefully ??, the firm on the way up again.
BW’s,
Hulvard.
Burg1: I sympathise and agree. I am not a holder (but might be soon). I think their Cavendish sell side business is worth the market cap alone. I am sure it will correct, in time. Good luck.
Never thought SP would drop so low. I thought 20p was the bottom. How wrong was i ouch
A problem with paying too high a dividend is that temporary buyers are attracted, qualify for the dividend, then sell. Fortunately, was unhappy with FCAP over another matter and decided to dispose at over 30p. I got lucky.
FCAP have lost a number of companies over the last six months or so. That includes K3C, described as a good company by CEO Sam Smith during a not too long ago investormeet presentation. They did pick up KMK recently but would expect overall revenues to be down, compared to last year. Probably depends on how much revenue Cavendish have been generating. Sam Smith deciding to hand over control, has added to current short-term negativity, but likely good for her health. Watched the interview, she is still going to hang on to her c10% holding, which is reassuring for holders.
Still keeping an eye on FCAP, the bear market is creating many other attractive long-term opportunities though. Without the benefit of the current numbers, would expect FCAP to be close to the bottom now. Good luck.
How low can SP price go! With EPS with a slight improvement, cannot see dividends being effected, revenue may be flat. Don’t know when we will see a Reverse of tend, but possibly more pain until finals come through, hopefully in July. Can’t come quick enough
Sam smith made a sizeable buy in feb this year too….at 31pence Shows confidence.
There seems no appetite for purchase FCAP. Just a steady dilution of SP price. Well run company, good dividends, apart from size of company, Personally I fail to see, why there seems no interest
