FWIW...I asked LR if we were part of the regions recovery plan...he responded as follows:
“ we are fully aware of this and have been for some time, at an appropriate moment we shall update if necessary. There are a number of new funding initiatives we have been engaging with and obviously if we sign something will update. I will be talking about them though but am waiting until satisfied they are formally launched before doing so because 1 want to be cautious on expectations and 2 don’t want to be seen as breaching any consultations ahead of time. Interesting time since Jan on all fronts but until RNS’d need to strike the right balance”

I'm not ruling it out but if there is anything I would imagine it will be EU / Local funding rather than the bulge bracket work that AH is supposed to be up to. Just a thought would it be logical that we may not have heard more about that simply because we don't know what is required yet? Suppose the Junta say look if you can infill all these old quarries there's €1m Euro's in it for you for landscape restoration work, as you have proven there are x, y, z number of ancillary jobs surrounding the project we grant you €25m as part of the Leon employment regeneration scheme. Okay I'm making it up but if we are in line for funding on the scale you and others have nosed out then wouldn't we want to establish where we stand on that before AH puts pen to paper on a private transaction.
Morning Sheds....I agree it will more than likely be an operational update. I think that is what LR told us when he said it was postponed to next week. But as far as funding announcement goes....who knows when it will happen....but as the saying goes...if you can’t dream it ...it will never happen...:-) I prefer to dream it :-)
Morning Bricks - while I think we should be cautious about next week I wouldn't be surprised if it is more than just a presentation about what might be possible for all the tertiary industries around the mine. Can you imagine if they proudly present all these possibilities for the region desperately in need of jobs particularly for young people if a bright spark of a journalist says "How are you going to pay for it then, aren't you $79m dollares short of CAPEX requirements?". I'm guessing that we probably won't get the big funding announcement but perhaps some sort of plan or even partnership / agreement with the Junta. Obviously I don't know it could be some more targeted funding as I mentioned earlier, nothing or everything :) Sorry just working through my thoughts but all we know for definite is they're doing some media to present the opportunities for the region and it really could just be simply that. Think I've hedged my bets there :)
@Grappa, I never predicted a boom to happen on Tuesday. I posted on Tuesday that this will boom in the future, near future IMO. There is a difference.
Yes, I do believe £2 is (easily) achieveable, just not in the next 15 minutes as some want.
There are clearly a lot of stakeholders wanting this mine for all sorts of, probably, different reasons. IMO we are looking good.
If resource can be moved to measured and funding is confirmed, then boom, boom, boom, for days. Probably not today though just to be clear!
The balance sheet will drive this SP in future not sentiment imo.
Maths my dear...the 100 million will be used to firm up our asset....it will be on our books. If we have 100 million in our books divide by 49 million which is the number of shares in issue and what do you get ?
seriously bricks ?
Let hope so BrickSA fingers crossed.
A 100million grant to build the mine and we will be at 2 quid overnight IMO :-)
Rome was not built in a few days....:-)
Your predicted boom in SP on Tuesday didn't happen. Do you still think £2 is achievable?
IMO this mine will be built and as previously posted, is part of a larger development/redevelopment agenda.
Clearly many will want to see that in black and white in the form of an RNS. This is understandable of course.
However, I suspect that by the time the RNS has been read, the MCap of this company will be approaching in excess of £50million (a whoosh!). They will be buying in much higher.
Fill your boots time IMO.
