You're easily please Tomo27; HL are ****E. i know cos i use em!
:)
I use HL, bought through their website for the first time recently, no problems. I usually deal on the phone, always helpful and efficient for me.
I ignore all emails from HL, including the ones offering me tailored financial advice for the bargain price of £495. Er, no thanks guys, I'm doing alright on my own ta. I'd rather buy £495-worth of EUA shares than pay your salaries.
Stonk, main reason why I was asking is that I'd guess a CFD or spread bet means the trading company has to pay out on profits whereas on a share deal they are just acting as the broker, so no risk. I was just trying to work out why HL have this new found concern about being over exposed; I don't expect it's because they have become all caring.
Agree a spread bet is a gamble, a CFD is but to a lesser extent; you are simply leveraging your trade which if it goes tits up could see the broker chasing you for money. Now not the case with IG who have basically made sure there's enough in folks' accounts to cover them. It's basically turned a CFD into a share deal. Annoying when they charge more for the CFDs.
Are they afraid of a GameStop type situation occurring with EUA and others?
Where is my email from HL ?
100% Eurasia, I’m happy with my risk levels thanks, anyways
Avg 30p by the way
Until the final sale, however long it takes
Good luck to all, enjoy the ride

Likewise. I've not heard a single peep from HL.
Mind you've I've never even been to their website, let alone dealt with them. Still rude, though.
No email from them about over exposedrisk etc, the last one I got off them said how to retire comfortably, Yeah I wish.
I'm beginning to feel left out, I sold all my other holdings, and piled the lot into Eurasia, but no e-mail from HL.
I've patched multiple calls from IG as I've still not closed my long CFD position.
Eventually took their call to say I am aware. Seem very keen to ensure these are closed...
I got an email too, ignored!!
Only ever shares. Shares for investors, CFDs for gamblers.
Are you folks in a share deal or CFD / Spread Bet?
Not checked emails but I'm with HL ill check.
I have used II for years, never an issue
I'm not "All in" EUA, but its a pretty high proportion of my pf. I find it interesting that its only in the last 24 hours that HL have decided to start warning me about this, as pf has been that way for months. It does look like a deliberate attempt to get us to sell some.
I got the same email, yet I'm in profit for EUA, so I'm not following their advice either
They want to stop sending emails and fix there bloody site.
Not worked probably for 10mths now

With a nod and a wink
You can soon shift her stink
With a little elbow grease and a boat load of dettol
Received an e-mail from hargreaves lansdown today warning me that I am overexposed? The reason being that I am 100% invested in eua. My losses are now quite substantial, I am sitting at an average of 33p. Guess what? Ain't listening, might even top up some more and see what hl make of that? Lol. Holding and waiting, tick rock. Gla
