Oh and I'm off to Wetherspoons with my darling teenage children this afternoon for a big munch. Going to celebrate my son's terrible exam results at least he passed 1 by default, ha ha.
what do you think those people eat at home?
Sounds like you dont like the eating out plan - fine everyone has their opinion
Morning Tony,
Thank you for your response, so glad to hear you are keeping well and safe in your dangerous working environment.
Good luck with your research, and thank you for your ongoing COVID advice.
All the best and take care.
Ian
sorry GLG

I just had coffee in Costa for a pound and Monday I had breakfast in McDonalds for under £2. There are many retailers who are passing on the cut . Might not be the ones you'd expect though.
Gecko - I had a lovely salad last night on the deal, so not everyone is clogging their arteries... That's about educating people about nutrition..
Entirely agree GFD
I would have a guess and in most cases of covid problems , being over weight must be a contributing factor ! nation of Greggs and fast food ( No problem a sausage roll every now and again , followed by some exercise) , but not 2 or 3 stuffed down with a litre of Pop !
Laziness doesn't take 5 minutes to prepare some fresh healthy food !
rant over going for a Sausage Egg Splash in a Dustbin Lid Bap LOL
Government will always be damned if they do damned if they don't ... if they don't do anything they'll be in the firing line when the countries restaurant/eatery market collapses and 10,000's of jobs are lost. Same story this morning they're being blasted for not enforcing the quarantine of incoming EU tourists earlier, by the very same people who blasted the idea of a 14 day quarantine for anyone. Just how our country and media works lol.
Hi, Gecko, and of course WE as in the tax payers are actually paying for this government discount on restaurant food, nothing is free..
GLG - Off Topic
It's the heart disease and Type 2 diabetes that have accounted for some of the worst death rates in the world (excluding the abnormal rates due to population size). IMOH
The problem with the dine out to help out initiative is my Son's restaurant had 176 bookings last night, 207 tonight, and then 8, 6, 14 and 12 respectively for Thurs-Sun... It's just moved the busy days...
This isn't an airport mate, no need to announce your departure ;O)
As far as I'm concerned every bit helps - 4 weeks of 3 nights is not going to create an obesity epidemic even if you went every single night and had the two dinners to yourself
Friends in the trade have said bookings have gone from about 30% capacity to close to 100% and thats on the quiet Mon-Wed nights traditionally very quiet especially at the moment.
Actually this thread maybe useful in identifying all the posters who have nothing of use to add to the 'bb', its nothing to do with how long you hold, its all to do with contribution, you lot add nothing.
Neway, ill trot off now, as I dont wanna clutter the bb even more than it already has been.
Morning Ian_
All good here thanks,
On the satellite front, I haven't to be honest and have been looking at A1ex's informative posts... I have a few hours free this afternoon, so I'll have a look at what I can find and do some comparisons if there's anything to see and report back.
With any Virus, you will get secondary spikes although these should never be as big as the first. These are usually because of a combination of better testing, reporting and understanding of the virus. I work in one of the 'high risk' areas that have just gone back into lockdown measures and we are seeing nowhere near the number of cases that we were back in March/April... Covid-19 is going to be around with us for quite an indeterminable length of time unfortunately. Keep sanitising touch points and avoid touching your face unnecessarily is the best practice...
Hope all is well with you pal... Tony
"You know where you can shove that tripple egg & bacon sarny........"
Not sure if this is a trick question or what you do with food but normally its shoved in the pie hole... But it Sounds like you chose another orifice for your food!
Welcome aboard jamie, ignore the trolls some seem to think because they held a share longer than you it some how makes them a better person, gl with the investment and hold tight to them shares once that RNS comes they will go up
i wish... vat cuts are stimulus for the trade doubt that will be passed onto the public.
wasn't went i got my triple egg and bacon sarny... :OP
Well done on the top up, good luck with your investment here.
GLA
Everyone knows that Tesco's meal deals now costs less than £3 due to the vat cuts
Morning Tony,
I hope you are keeping well, have you done any more research with the satellites? or just leaving that to A1ex?
Slightly worried about this second spike that maybe around December now, say the powers at be.
All the best
Ian
Just so you all know I've been to tesco and bought a meal deal for £3
Anyway I'm a big boy not easily offended or upset so fire on with what ever posts you wish, it helps me make a filtered list ;O)
It's someone excited about a share and buying in I get it tbh.... selling on the other hand none of us want to read that tripe they can do one ;)
Imagine if every purchaser/seller put a thread on to say they'd topped up... What does it bring to the discussion? All I was asking was what is the point of doing so?
Mrred, damned smellchecker
