I also feel uneasy about potential ramifications of any sanctions but I tend to think the big boys - UBS, Black Rock, the other banks in on this deal (and the Russians) - will be either allowed to go about their business or get it concluded before anything of substance happens. Doesn't seem overly cynical to think that way
So someone raises a legitimate concern - the Ukraine situation is real - and we get the Tommy Robinson show turn up with all their aggression. Great,
The best one I read today the new German chancellor (no idea what his name is and frankly don’t care) will cut off the Russian gas supply!
Well that’s going to go reallyyyy well isn’t it mate I mean talk about cutting off your own balls.....and then of course there Mr Biden quoting equally vacuous threats from his teleprompter speech and still f***king it up :D
No wonder Putin is playing these people for fools.....they are fools!
Haha seems they can make anything up.
The idea of disconnecting Russia from the SWIFT didn’t last long:

So now EUA isn’t a scam, but the Ukraine situation will be our downfall. You couldn’t make it up.
Get a grip Mids...
Lots of talk about the Ukraine situation on LBC radio this evening. Sound to me like a lot of posturing on both sides but as always it only takes a misstep by one side or the other.
Stop fretting.
If the international banking system is suspended as a sanction then Russia will turn the gas off.
Stalemate Central.
Bacefook, no need to apologise at all no offence taken and in the end it’s all just my humble opinion at the end of the day.
I have posted many a time and wish I had re worded stuff but what you said was fine and fair points, anyway roll on Thursday who knows maybe another RNS this week?
GL to you :)
JonnyR… from what I saw last night, if the international banking system is suspended as a sanction then our dividend payments would be too.
A number of big events need to happen before we ever do get there, but even the thought of it made my blood run cold.
Beast, having read back my earlier message I realize it looks a bit sharp so please accept my apologies. What I was trying to get at is corruption is in all the pillars of democracy!
So true about the British media, all coordinated, treat us like mushrooms...
When you realise that over 95% of the media is owned and controlled by the same few people, then you can understand how they really shape people's thoughts through propaganda.
Sadly, the only way to get unbiased content is to look for the people that get censored, the people 'they' don't want you to listen to.
Bacefook, I didn't reference any conspiracy in my post I referenced the previous 'Russian collusion' storys during the Trump presidency which the media continually rolled out, which was proved and confirmed to be false in the law court?
Hence, don't always believe the narrative the media are pushing is the point.
Beast, surely if the mainstream media is all a conspiracy then the mainstream courts should also be in on it?
Midsummer, I am worried. there is a strong belief in uk government that he will invade. I’m concerned about the ensuing sanctions but don’t know how they might affect Eua
And, of course, this all helps Boris wriggle off the hook a bit.
Remember when Trump was president, Russia Russia Russia....it was all a fabricated lie as confirmed in court.
Forget the politics though.
When are people going to wake up and understand the main stream media agenda is nothing short of propaganda?
Absolute nonsense this thread and done to death multiple times.
Bacefook I think you're right I think last minute talks will prevent this. Putin wants to make the US look weak and he will push as hard as he can. Dangerous situation at the moment all the talking heads are a little less full of bravado than usual.
There are no definites in this situation, just likelihoods. Currently Putin is playing the “hold me back, I’ll kill him game” and does not want to invade. The west know this so are pushing back hard. There is a slim chance it could go wrong, so, in a sense it is dangerous, but, ultimately , it serves no-one if an invasion happens.
No concern at all. This is all politics and propaganda related to eastward expansion of Nato. I don't see that Russia will mount a large scale offensive against Ukraine as they got back what they wanted, which was Crimea. Yes we have troop movements but that is a tit for tat chess game between US / their NATA puppets and Russia
Yes the west can cut off Russia from Swift and Russia then cuts off gas supply to Europe. Stalemate and will not happen
Russia vs USSR (LOL):
Rocky Balboa says "No"
James "Clubber" Lang says "I pity the fool who..."
Ron Paul ex US politician gives a better review than the propaganda media mahine
