Should be any day now, the growth potential in ETO is being realised by investors which is why we have seen the increases this past 5 days. If you can afford to hold this in an isa could be a multibag from this level. Glad I averaged down when it was at 132.
Thanks for the positive news Rivaldo. I'm currently down quite a lot on this so if it's starting to turn then I'm happy. I thought the Revenant was going to win.
ETO's film Spotlight won Best Film last night. This is a great boost for the ETO brand and can't help but boost their profile and reputation. And of course it should boost box office and DVD/online revenues too: "EOne is handling international sales of “Spotlight” in all territories outside of the U.K., Canada, Spain, Benelux and Australia/New Zealand, where the company is distributing the film directly, and in the U.S., where the film is being distributed by Open Road, which is planning for a wide release." http://variety.com/2015/film/festivals/sony-picks-up-mark-ruffalo-michael-keaton-movie-spotlight-in-multiple-countries-1201495943/
"I bought back more in Entertainment One (ETO). At current prices it really looks terribly undervalued and it looks a very biddable price - one of its main attractions its massive library of shows. I suspect at some point this year we'll see some action here, perhaps a bidding war which push up the price considerably"
Good to see sterling to canadian dollar has been dropping lately.
JP Morgan target £2.12
Strong volume again today, expect blue by close.

ETO Entertainment One........JP Morgan have a 301p target price.
ETO Entertainment One (media FTSE 250), having a blinder today after results. This broker note though is VERY BULLISH.......... Cazenova eOne shares have been weak in the last 12m (down c.-50%) which we believe has been driven by several factors including a) a reduced 2016 film slate, b) one-off effects that have reduced cash flow, c) the company’s £200m rights issue to gain control of Peppa Pig and d) the company’s recent £285m refinancing (at 6.875%). However, as highlighted before, we expect FY16 results (end March 16) to be the tipping point for cash conversion (JPMe 55% in FY16, vs. 38% in FY15) and remain buyers into the upcoming 9M15 trading statement (likely first week of March). With the shares now trading on c.6.5x cal. 2016E P/E, we see risk-reward as very attractive given several growth opportunities from TV production, the Mark Gordon company and rolling out the Family business (Peppa Pig and other) globally. Our 2016E/2017E adj. EPS estimates of 19.8p/20.6p are above BBG consensus at 19.6p/20.1p. We forecast improving FCF metrics for FY16. Rightly or wrongly eOne’s ability to generate cash remains a key focus area for investors. Given that the company is continuing its growth strategy, we expect interim production financing to continue increasing (JPMe 2016/2017/2018 £100m/£135m/£170m). However, we calculate that FY2016 results may provide an inflexion point in terms of cash generation with operating CF growing faster than investment spend (with the cash generative Family business gaining further importance in the Group context). We calculate improving FCF going forward (JPMe £75m/£97m/£112m for 2016E/2017E/2018E for adj FCF). Our estimates may prove too conservative. We calculate 2016E-2018E adjusted Group EBITDA CAGR of +15% with TV Production (+24%) and Family (+17%) as key growth drivers. Further upside potential comes from the Mark Gordon business which could produce hit series (eg similar to MGC’s Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds), performing materially better than we currently anticipate. Our 2016E/2017E EPS estimates change by -4.5%/-2.4% largely due to higher interest in 16E and marginally lower EBITDA margins in 17E.
ETO normally put out their trading statement at end of January. There has been nothing so far since mid December when the company issued a one liner saying they wer trading in line. My hunch/hope is that they are in discussion re potential takeover . There has been high levels of turnover recently and today share price up 8%. Keep watching.
Should be any day now, read somewhere that they are looking to put it out end of Feb start of March time. Suspect they are trying to get film revenue from the films they have had in the cinema. The high level of gearing is a concern at the moment and guessing thats why the share price is where it is, but I suspect this will improve as they increase cash flow with the films being released this year and extensive other product sales.
I sure hope so. There is a lot riding on it.
Do we believe the results are going to be strong?
The company is currently worth less than its $800m library value (as per their website).
to the 21 may 2012 low maybe? so i bought at 126
How low is this gonna get pushed down :/
New article - PJ Masks is a "runaway hit" and is to be rolled out "across the world": Http://www.animationmagazine.net/tv/heroes-by-night/?doing_wp_cron=1454922289.0653920173645019531250
@ these levels imv ..bought tiny stake (600)
...but still very cheap imho. News of a major push for merchandising of PJ Masks coming this year - ETO now have PJ Masks and the highly successful Ben & Holly, as well as Peppa: Http://www.forbes.com/sites/andyrobertson/2016/02/02/pj-masks-toys-hq-vehicles-season-2/#5f77b390523a "Disney Junior Show 'PJ Masks' Getting Electronic Toys And Apps This Year PJ Masks will get toy-lines, clothing and apps including lights and sound HQ and vehicles in 2016. PJ Masks is a Disney Junior and Disney Channel cartoon created by Entertainment One, Frog Box , and TeamTO. It first aired on September 18 and it based on the Les Pyjamasques book series from French author Romuald Racioppo. Aside from the great animation and characters the novelty for young viewers is a set of aspiration superheroes of their own age. I spoke to Olivier Dumont, managing director of eOne Family, about plans for PJ Masks in 2016. Having already heard about the show’s global toy partner, Just Play, I wanted to know how soon toys would be hitting store shelves. “In the US the toys will be arriving during 2016 then elsewhere in 2017.” Dumont then went on to rattle off an impressive array of related properties although specific licensees couldn’t be confirmed at this stage. The line up will include dress-up and role play outfits — which I’m sure will include Pajamas as worn by the heroes on the show. Plush toys will be coming too, no great surprise here. Less expected though is a range of more technical play-sets. Dumont described PJ Masks Vehicles and PJ Masks HQ feature lights, sounds and working elevators. There will also be books and apparel. etc"
If this continues to drop, I'll be squeeling like a (Peppa) pig as my money will be wiped out.
Thanks Toast Let's hope the sp isn't (toast) by then... GS
A response from ETO to an email query, posted by eiresorpio on ADVFN yesterday... GS - you are a mine of information, as usual. Thanks. Hopefully it's before the 18th as I have a job on and this owner doesn't like me running up the SatPhone bills.
