I can't help but respond to your posts Supercharger because your glass is always overflowing regarding your perception of Esken and the aviation sector which seems to bear no resemblance to reality.
Its always frustrating to let a dose of truth get in the way of a good story - especially when it comes directly from the BoD's own RNS.
I don't trade in this stock at all but have followed it for a long time so no axe to grind but I think it is important to give a balanced perspective - to combat some of the ramping statements that are made.
Hi Gerry - I read up about Luton - Almost scandalous! I'm normally a glass half full type, but the reality is that there is a very small and restricted window for summer tourism that will be all but over in 6-7 weeks. Then a long tough winter ahead for the businesses that rely on tourism. With loan holiday periods ending and furlough being scrapped in 7 weeks I think there will be a lot of failures in the next 6 months unfortunately.
Hi Birddog agree this trading yr is a second write off.
It's all about how much the Aviation Division bleeds over the next 8 months and whether the Energy Division gets back to pre covid revenue levels.
Spare a thought for the Luton County Council bail out debt levels to keep Luton Airport afloat and the poor council tax payers in that area. What cut backs will they have to make to other essential services.

By the rationale of Supercharger, Southend Airport will burst into profit in the next few weeks. Despite the fact it has never made profit under ESKN / STOB. Interesting perspective! Other 3 big airports? Does that mean Southend is a big airport?
There is still a huge under capacity at LHR/LGW/LTN/STN and City. They are all further up the pecking order than Southend I'm afraid. The best that could be hoped for is 2019 numbers by 2025. Not sure ESKN have 4 months left in them, let alone 4 years.
Supercharger has short circuited
Rolls now are already back in profits for the 1st half of the year and caught everyone on the hop in the process. Rolls will now fly, excuse the pun, and so will we very soon! I also see Melrose, ICAG all up too and it will not be long now for us to return to pax. numbers swarming in here from Europe especially when one cannot quickly get their pax. through the other three big 3 airports. If you feel Esken will fail why do you come on here -unless you are shorting? The Whole world and his staffie can see this! Lots of money to be made here in the aviation sector if you ask me. IMHO!
