Same here!
I think we've got til 20th February to accept so we may have a while yet to wait.
On the other hand it may come at any time........
I'm fairly sure it will come. Visa results out today, quick glance suggests international payments growing at 11% in Q1 19, that is about half Mastercard recent performance. Hence why they need EPO and its networks. Mastercard results should be out soon for the same Q - which I think they call Q418.
Anyway I'm fairly sure it will com, and there is even the possibility of a third party entering - that would really spice things up!
Anyway, as always a waiting game.
Good luck!
Hmm, waiting for the counter offer is absolutely killing me though! I must be checking for news about 50 times a day
thats because even though 30p is a hike from 7p its still cheap. The offer values EPO @ £200 million while Paypal bought Xoom last year for close to a Billion. Mastercard and Visa may not be the only horses so hold on to your shares for a bit longer IMHO - this could be one hell of a ride
Seems the market is very confident of a competing bid....
had these at 7p. could have 5 bagged. doh
Contract note timed at 09.29 with HL dead on 35p, was tempted to hold 50% but decided to sell and put proceeds into another stock that I'm gradually reducing my average in. This is the first stock that I have held that has been subject to a takeover, got such a buzz when the RNS landed at 7.30 in the morning, especially as I was quite a bit under at the time. Good luck with your 48%.
surprised to read that grtbuzy what time did you sell ?
Just a little more then i got at open after i had placed a lower limit .
thought i had made a mistake ,i still have 48% of holding left .
Sold out yesterday @ 35p, well pleased with my return, good luck to anyone holding for more excitement.
To be about to enter the fray
visa v mastercard
So yesterday evening someone commented on here from someone saying the bid was to be rejected, visa was going to pull out etc etc.... I’ll be honest I checked first thing this morning with a thought of selling having seen it! Certainly glad I didn’t now... The comment clearly has been deleted so either the person realised how woefully wrong they were or were trying to engineer a few sells!
It doesn’t surprise me that MasterCard are in now though, I had been wondering if they would wait until their lawsuit was settled (funnily enough for FX issues, which buying Earthport may solve in a sense) before they bid and lo and behold they did indeed.
My luck i thought .
I had left sell order in overnight , bad mistake i thought when i saw today's news, would never do that usually.
Sale i saw lifted above my limit @ 34.80 .
But after one hour as good as any sale today.
looks good for us here
Counter offer - this could get interesting
I do not see much danger of offer not going through .
Anyone know time table ?
Interested in knowing where your information comes from regarding the staff get nothing?
@getbusy Apologies, I thought you meant it hadn’t got the votes necessary, thought it was a bit quick for that yet!
Earthport's directors intend to recommend unanimously that shareholders vote in favour of the deal, the terms of which they believe to be "fair and reasonable". this mornings RNS
Sorry a bit confused smokingjoe! Why would they be the next ones to jump liken this? And if so should this be posted on OEX discussion board?
@getbusy Where do you see this? Not seen anywhere that it’s not been approved...
Not approved
At the moment this deal has around 17 per cent of existing shareholders behind it, including BoD. It's a recommended offer, not approved. It's a good deal, very good, but Earthport has a lot of big name financial customers behind it too and it's not beyond the realms of possibility a counter (higher) offer may come in. Don't sell too soon!
Sorry for suspicion, spread ok, so this seems like free money!? Any catch? A long wait?
Yep that’s correct. It’s also confirmed that it’s been approved. They have enough confirmed votes to accept offer it’s a done deal
yes. and no oilex is not going to do this. .
