Sean Riddell, Chief Executive of EMIS Group, said: "The NHS focus on the exchange and usage of information throughout all elements of primary and secondary care plays very much to EMIS Group's strengths and our strategy of delivering cross-organisational healthcare systems through EMIS Web, Healthcare Gateway and Rx Systems. The Group is well positioned to continue to support the NHS to achieve cost and time savings and improved patient outcomes. The outlook for the year as a whole remains positive and we are confident of the Group's long term growth prospects."

Clinical software supplier Emis Group (EMIS) reported widened pre-tax profits for the year ended 31st December 2010, helped by a rise in revenue, and said it remained focussed on cross-organisational healthcare. The group, a leading primary care software provider with more than 39 million patient records entrusted to its systems, posted an 11.4% increase in pre-tax profits to 16.1 million pounds on revenue of 62.4 million pounds, up from 57.7 million pounds a year earlier
Emis to take Canadian hit Date: Friday 18 Mar 2011 LONDON (ShareCast) - GP software specialist Emis lifted full year 2010 profits by 11% to £16.1m on revenues of £62.4m, up from £57.7m. Strong revenue visibility, subject to the anticipated extension of the GPSoC agreement, continues into 2011 with recurring revenues expected to rise. At Emis Inc, a managed exit is now underway. "We expect that the 2011 Canadian loss, including the costs of the managed exit, will amount to £1.1m, of which £0.9m will be a cash cost. There will also be an impairment charge of £1.4m," the firm said. Elsewhere, the controlled roll-out of EMIS Web is progressing as planned and the additional resources are being put in place in anticipation of a managed acceleration in the roll-out rate in the second half of the year, it added. The dividend for the year is 11.2p.
Interesting.
... any idea why this is falling through the floor? Has there been an announcement about the NPfIT? Have they lost even more market share to TPP? Has EMIS Web been delayed again?
