When you consider that 4000-6000 boo/d are repeatedly stated byGM,will be bringing above $300.000 per day to the Company on top what is receiving now, that is $9 mln per month at $65/barrel.MER Test result should be with us by the end of this month.Do we think for a minute that if it all is as expected that the share price will be as it is now? I do not, hence buying some more shares.Stach
Two weeks in Margate? As a child growing up near there I can tell you St Tropez probably has the edge.
Just spotted them Stach. Keeping the faith.
In fact I have got another 10k of shares ,having sold some other oily.I strongly believe in ELA ! Stach
Hi Stuart. What irritates me is the fact that there is a very realistic chance of 30000 boo/d by the beginning of 2019 and the broker indicates the share price of 170p/share.The oil extraction by ELA is ever increasing.Where is the logic by mms to start reducing the share price? Pure manipulation to get cheap shares for themselves. What negatives have they got about the company at the moment? Stach
Morning Stac. Totally agree. Could be the experienced MM’s have their two weeks in Margate in August. The same thing happened last year. Hopefully normality will return when they get back. GLA
I am still very optimistic that Opuama10 well will deliver as expected( by GM). That extra production of circa 3000 boo/day will help financing the Ubima project.I have not sold a single share here and I wish I had the spare money to buy more at current prices. This is virtually worry free Company.MMs have made a meal with dropping the share price to these sort of levels.Stach
No not at all. It’s a subtle ramp!
Are you suggesting this as reason for recent fall in share price? Surely not.

Is the recent series of falls largely algorithm driven, are there a bunch of sheep out there who are turning risk averse in s Trump world, or are we the faithful missing something more fundamental?
Unfortunately the last RNS came in a week to late.I have this feeling that had it come earlier,it would have stabilized the share price around 130p/share.Some shorters have got on the trail of this share as otherwise there is no reason for a continuous drift down.ELA is the best delivering small cap on AIM compared to any other small oil exploring Company.Stach
There’s so much positive news flow expected over the next 6 months it has to turn soon.
Ditto Bigspike. Unfortunately don’t have charts but I remember exactly the same pattern last August. The price dropped to around 48p (give or take) from around the low/mid 60 region. Great news in the pipeline (pun intended)
Strange share price reaction when fundamentals remain strong, Anyone got a chart? Must be a good bounce coming soon..... I’m going nowhere!
Hi Stuart.I wish it was me! No such funds available atm. Also heavily invested in CERP.I think with the right news on Opuama10 well Test, the share price will recover back to over 134p.Not long to wait for it now.Stach
A trade for a million shares has just gone through at £1.20. I guess that's the reason the MM's have been dropping the price. Was it you Grezz or was it you Stach :-))
Good news today, which calmed me down a lot.Nothing gone wrong with Opuama10 well and 4000-6000 boo/d additional sales will do wonders to the share price.Grezz, you have raised some valid points in your reply to me yesterday.I just wish we had today's RNS last Friday.Stach
Great news Shallwe. Eland always deliver. There maybe a couple or three ars- clinchers along the way but the fundamentals are brilliant. September will bring the H1 results so looking forward to seeing increased profits and revenues. I enjoyed seeing some great informative contributions from all yesterday. Good morning all and good luck.
Great news and looking very positive confirming previous figures. Now moving onto OP11 earlier than planned.
Stach, what fundamental reason can you come up with that makes this a good short?
I see an MM who puts up a large spread when there is low volume, which you could maybe use over a short period of time if you were brave enough to short, but other than some kind of inside info on the strategy of the NDA, knowledge of a massive operations issue, or some kind of management misdemeanor I can't think of anything at all. Macro economic factors maybe, but that still doesn't make Eland a bad company that should be taken down more than it's peer group.
To put it in perspective, we were pretty happy about 117 not two months ago and I haven't seen a significant change in fundamentals just yet. A bit of ooh and aah on oil price but the Saudis still want to float Aramco and they won't stop supporting the price of oil to a reasonable level.
With the 17% drop in share price from recent 134p is enough reason to be concerned. Will it stop at that? We need the news that will underpin the recent share price and we shall move further longer term. Some minnows in this sector have been stable over the past few days( NTOG,CERP etc.) in spite of lack of any significant news. This is why it crossed my mind that some shorters got on our bandwagon.Stach
Mr Market will do what Mr Market will do and he panics as much as he gets excited. There are general jitters everywhere due to President Trump and his trade wars, EM weakness because of Turkey (see President Trump) and oil forecast to hit the roof one day and then hit the floor the next.
I can't tell you which way it's all going to go but I do like to focus on facts rather than emotions and the facts are that global GDP % is still positive (although slowing) and Eland Oil and Gas is vastly under-valued based on the assets they have, the probable results from H1 and their track record of delivery given the plans they have outlined in their prospectus.
This is a good, well managed company with excellent prospects, a track record of delivery and a valuation which leaves plenty of room to run. If you can shut everything else out that is all you need to know right now. Be calm, you bought this for a reason and those reasons have not changed significantly enough just yet.
So much potential 2H. I noticed Amer recently had a water cut issue too, early indications indicate they’ve resolved it through a cement repair. Opuama 7 has an additional reservoir as back up, so I’m confident they can resolve this issue. In the meantime, Opuama 10 drill logs have shown excellent indications and the BOD have shown confidence and indicated this will meet expectations. Ubima field a lot of upside to to convert resource into reserve, while a EPS will generate further production through a diversified export route. Gbetiokun first work over could generate a further 8-10k bpd also with an EPS. Gbetiokun 2 interesected a potential 20 reservoirs! Now that is some well by the way. In my view, Eland could have the best asset on Aim! Gla....
Just topped up. Damned good company, so far has not let us down.
