And Mr mining fox you did not mention that the deep mines are owned by multi billion pound companies that have the infrastructure to close mines at 24 hours notice and reopen them within 3 to 4 weeks. EDL is not in that league. Selective posting by a F---ie
BE - are you able to repost the deleted one?
So foxi you answered my post and then got my post and content removed so nobody else could comment ?
Yes, our coal is 2.5miles underground.....your'e saying it takes longer than 4weeks to get a surface pit mining operation back up and running when we also have the infrastructure in place?? I'll bow to your knowledge then...
mining engineer, I did my research before parting with my readies, but it seems that you did your due diligence after making your purchase, if indeed you are a holder !
Haha
Sorry Jakir, I shouldn't larf, but I just spat my breakfast out when I read that.
bigeye - perhaps if you spent more time researching things as opposed to being so eager to insult people, you may be more informed.
There was an article in Mining Weekly back in early April about the world's deepest mines in South Africa and the fact that they had closed down so quickly because of Covid-19 yet it would take three to four weeks for them to re-open and get back to output.
Oh my lordy, foxi is now a mining engineer and not a company ( still having a laugh ) director!
Is there anything the fannie cant do?
The 8 June RNS stated "The Agreement, which will become effective once business activity can return to normal in Tanzania following the Pandemic....." so the reopening of the mine is an absolutely critical part of the agreement.
"The Tanzanian Government has recently recommenced flights in and out of the country and is now providing a message of "business as usual". That was seven weeks ago - you could get the deepest underground mines in the world back to full output in three or four weeks - what exactly is stopping us?
"Keeping the market informed, although good practice isn't mandatory" - indeed, which means not keeping the market informed is poor practice.
Aerial any idea about the next rns ?
Like operational status in a country that deems itself open and back to business.
RNS's are regulatory and non-regulatory. Keeping the market informed, although good practice isn't mandatory.

"I hope to deliver on various milestones over the coming weeks and
months and look forward to providing our shareholders with further
updates on these matters as appropriate."
That RNS was just seven weeks ago...
Surely the requirement to RNS is based on whether he is holding information that the market would deem sensitive. Like operational status...
To RNS or not to RNS, that is Alistair's question.
Is he brave enough to tell us why the mine remains shut?
