BBC News - Rapid tests could let students escape at Christmas

LOFL
Talk about going through the motions....
This made me LOL....just get a kit from DVRG for Christ's sake.

Like others I have been twitching at the lack of media coverage, the number of other company's now stepping into the breathalyser market and indeed the practicality's of our kit for the price.
Consequently I was just gom smacked over the Boots offering (Price) but more than that I just read the recent tweet from GB :-

#DVRG are of that opinion ourselves. An overlooked point is that the #MicrotoxBT diagnostic breath test is the detection of other viruses and disease biomarkers, offering faster point of care by altering the coating of the nano-photonic chips in your own personal breathalyser
Overlooked !?!?!?!?!? Course it's been overlooked, nobody said anything about it before.!!!! We should be singing this out. Potentially providing the price of the breathalyser was right you could pick up a family pack of ten for the most common ailments/viruses we are normally exposed to and diagnose yourself without going to the see a GP.
Personally I think that's brilliant. What i'd like to see now is some clarity on the plans of how we are going to roll this out bearing in mind it's not going to be cheap and we haven't got that sort of money in the bank. Once that covered then I really feel we are going to see a sharp movement in the SP.
All in my Very Humble Opinion
Thinking about media exposure too. I can see why GB and co are biding their time, it would look 10 times worse to be ramping it to high heaven now before all of the testing is complete and they are 100% sure everything works and has been thoroughly tested. Then, when the time is right imagine the fireworks! It will take time, a few months possibly but everyone else who is going down the breathalyser route will be months behind DVRG. I really cant find a quicker more complete and environmentally friendly solution to rapid testing. The price is also buttons compared to others, boots have prices that today!
It takes 20 seconds..but that's quick enough so irrelevant if 4 or 20
Yup............ the goal is in house, not leaving it, test, with Mobile 24hr pass that you can carry around...........!
ya Boots is a walk to the shop, get a stick rammed up ya nostril (right up to the eye), then potentially catch COVID19 whilst waiting 12mins, and paying £120 for the privilege.
Or.......... do it our way.............!
All the best (do you understand...............? :()
Ours is not so different though is it? We aren't restricted to Boots, but most people are expected to take a trip to somewhere that has a testing unit to pop the chip into. Offices and other businesses may have their own, but I didn't understand each individual expected to have that unit too.
That's not so different either though is it? Ours wont be restricted to boots, but most people are expected to take a trip to somewhere that has a testing unit to pop the chip into.
Fair play Chuck........! take that........ :(
but the stick up ya nose is a trip to Boots............ and not in ya bathroom...........!
All the best (for £20 plus £3............ With or Without queuing .............? :()
Except DV isn’t 4 seconds either so for the sake of accuracy probably best not to state that...
I’m sure we all recall the presentation that one has to blow and then put the ‘cartridge’ in the DVD machine to get the result and then after the analysis the app gets updated.. so clearly that process does not take 4 seconds..
Just heard on the wireless..........! BBC news on the Boots rip off...........!
they've added a time comparison.............. :() go figure...... beat 4secs with no sick up your nose you money grabbin charlatans.............!
