T-Rat,
Just a sample of the size of Eurofins firepower, they could crush DVRG like an ant:
RECORD RESULTS FOR EUROFINS
Eurofins posted record half-year numbers, where revenue jumped 40% to €3.3 billion and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation more than doubled (up 104%) to €1 billion, for the €20 billion valued company. That was encouraging enough but word that margins had risen from 21% to 30.3% this year saw the firm substantially raise full year guidance.
‘It appears that the pandemic will drive increasing demand for Eurofins’ services for many years to come,’ commented chief executive Gilles Martin in August.
I don't expect any government to simply hand DVRG contracts because they are such jolly nice folk. I expect the company to win the contracts in a competitive market by having best in class offerings.
Can the old expensive ways compete with the faster, cheaper, better modern offering that is PD? No. And especially not when asked to scale beyond Covid.
As you are aware, and broker note of 28 October 2021 advises " the Group has already filed use and design patents following confirmation from European government sponsored consultants that the technology has never previously been demonstrated"

T-Rat,
Usually trials involve more than one solution being tested so I would expect that Eurofins will be in there too so the assessors can make comparable assessments of two or more solutions before making any contract awards.
And yet Microtox® PD installations to be part of a
Government National COVID Infrastructure Trial:

Achieved without even a product page available on website... Seems the company talking to those that matter.
The tortoise wins the race.

T-Rat,
You might recall that Eurofins are well in with the UK Govt for monitoring waste water for COVID 19, they had a multi million £ very short term contract (a year I think) to do it manually for multiple sites. Not good news for DVRG as they are a direct head to head competitor and a much larger better funded business imo. Being an established and successful provider to services previously would put them in a very strong position in the UK and elsewhere. This is demonstrates exactly the reason why DVRG such a frustrating business to be invested in, others just seem to be able to get in first too easily despite DVRG having first mover advantage in terms of the technical solutions, commercially we are just not in the same league as the likes of Eurofin.
