Just gone through the 550 day moving Average - that's positive, next stop 800? OLEUM
The quality and uniqueness of the products produced by DIA will continue to drive this share price upwards. Minor fluctuations, like we've had in the last couple of weeks, are ideal buying opportunities !
Dear All, Has anyone any views on the current price following the trading announcement of 15 April 2015 and the subsequent drop to 670p on 21 April? The SP seems to be creeping up; was the drop overdone and how do you rate them now? OLEUM
Largest volume since May '14 today. Nice set up for tomorrow
700+ and game on.
Another £50k in just now, still looking encouraging after results day large trades and £112K in director buys
Same, watching for along time, skipped the 600 chance. Just decided to get in yesterday afternoon. Agreed seemed daft pull-back. Was feeling quietly confident, but more so since you pointed out the director buys which I would have missed. Good luck
Been watching this one for a while but bottled the buying opportunity (going down to 600) given the forthcoming market update. Good reading this morning so jumped in straight after the bell. Then, added about 30mins before the close today after what looked to be a daft pull-back. Nice to see the additional confidence after hours.
Well spotted thank you baron (Thought I was on my own here today)
£112K in director buys too: http://www.investegate.co.uk/dialight-plc--dia-/rns/director-pdmr-shareholding/201503021656453023G/
£174k buy, And there was me thinking had noticed the nice results issued today.
Dialight needs to keep growing to justify a p/e of 27. Perhaps there is too much competition in the diode lighting business now and growth and profits are harder to find.
Full results out 2 March 2015, I would wait until they are out.
I would give it some more time, sp up 30p today. If they appoint a new CEO soon sp could well shoot up. I think sp fall was over done but CEO retiring due to ill health was unfortunate. I will see what happens next week, hopefully go up a bit more. By the way anyone know why the sp went up today?
Good rise today - very much looking forward to results. Based on this year's updates it sounds like we will be meeting expectations at the very least
£1.07m + £0.98m buys it seems at 10:42. Hard to tell if definite buys, though seems right for run of trades. Hope this means time to lift at last
Agrred - the compnay is trying to grow its business - there have ben a number of companies that have hit turbulance over the last couple of years and have since recovered. Personally I think the SP here will recover but it is just a question of patience and a lttle bit of luck with regards to growth in the worlds economic engine..... whether that happens is anyones guess but if it does then Dialight should gain from that... I have a few shares here and I am not thinking of selling any right now...
Up to you what you do mate, NEVER let anyone dictate to you. Be wary of dampers and derampers, both have agendas which try to catch investors out by playing on sentiment. If the fundamentals stack up/make sense and you understand the company, you can make an in formed decision. Have a strategy, be confident in that, but review it when necessary. This company isn't going bust, its not even tight for money. SP decline is, amongst other things, as sales have fallen short of expectations, so forward projections are reduced - as is SP. If the company is sound, and you don't NEED to convert shares to cash, then why would you? Falls happen, as do rises.
Hi folks well I'm still hanging on here I think sp going down must be to do with uncertainty about the leadership of the company although I agree with Robd91 Richard seems well capable of leading the company forward all we need now is good figures for last years and the trading figures given seemed ok to me so we should be looking for an upturn soon surely what do others think .....best regards
Yes - the Philips experience is impressive
https://www.linkedin.com/pub/richard-stuckes/5a/843/4b3 Certainly has strong credentials and experience in lighting and industrial products.
This stocks shorts are rapidly increasing. You may want to jump ships. GLA
i'm relatively new to investing , but this got to be worst move i've gotten into so far......when do i decide to get out already down 23 % which is a lot at my level of investing....read an article from a well known investor / writer who said they never sell at a loss rather see firm go bust rather than sell at a loss ....but surely if i get out now i've still got something....think i'll go back to the horses
Royal Philips NV (PHIA) touched a nine month high in Amsterdam trading after Het Financieele Dagblad reported that KKR & Co. and CVC Capital Partners Ltd. may make a joint bid for the Dutch company’s lighting solutions division.
Dialight plc Trading Update Dialight, the leading manufacturer of LED lighting solutions for use in hazardous and industrial locations, announces the following Trading Update for the year ended 31 December 2014. Lighting revenues grew by 50% at constant currency. Within Signals, Obstruction returned to growth, with revenues up 22% year on year, similarly at constant currency, driven primarily by the US telecoms market. The Board expects that the Group's results for the year ended 31 December 2014 will be in line with market expectations. Roy Burton, Group Chief Executive, has informed the Board that he is undergoing treatment for a medical condition which impacts his ability to travel for the time being. The Board believes that this will not affect his ability to perform his executive responsibilities. Should this position change, Bill Ronald, Dialight's Chairman, will provide support as and when required. The Group will publish its Full Year results for the year ended 31 December 2014 on 2 March 2015.
