Yes but showing no signs of recovery even after an accelerating fall yesterday JC. 75% below when it was 12 pounds and yesterday's update gave me no confidence that a further PW isn't on the way. I hate selling on a big fall but yesterday's report was so gloomy I was going to buck my principles. Is 300p going to give way? I think only a bid can save this.
Looked like it was making a decent recovery from a significant fall after the mark down at the open. Then falls back to near the low of the day. With LUCE supposedly to report results comfortably better than market expectations at the end of the month you have to wonder whether DIA has lost market share due to historic issues. Might be worth spreading risk between the two baskets.
Yes today is lights out for me. I am going for a lie down in a darkened room. Time to switch to another investment.
Yes StrudeL. Nice recovery of late so I still have hope. Actually bought at 600p, 555p and a lesser amount at 498p so on reflection of the light of day I am not doing too bad!
Falling K.....still trapped in this oscillating share?
Yup, me too....
I was wondering why investors were suddenly switched on to this. Looks a good call so far as the spotlight has been on this for days solid. Still 10% under my buy in price but nice to see a little light at the end of the tunnel at last.
DIA was added to the SCSW portfolio at the week-end. Oh - and I bought back in on Friday when it became apparent Trump would drop his Mexican tariff threat. Maybe that did it :-)

Morning Strudel. Yes well below but seems a bit brighter. Decent jump today but perhaps just recovering speculatively after being sold down. No indication of what is behind the rise but if the recovery is really underway then we can expect more days like today.
I think DIA has manufacturing in Mexico. Assuming Trump's tariff increases come to pass I imagine they will have a negative effect on sales. Will buy back when the dust settles as I think this is beginning to look well managed.

According to SCSW; "Dialight, Originally known as Roxboro, used to have a range of businesses including Solartron (oil and gas instrumentation) and Weston (thermocouples for the aerospace industry) but in around 2006, the company sold those and returned a huge slug of cash to shareholders". Hence (I assume) the large fall in share price.
Hi Guys !...I ve just began watching DIA . LOOKING at the historical charts the SP collapsed from more than to 20 000 to nearly nothing I 2005 . Does anyone know what happened here....? ...( it predates the 2007/08 crash )....
Good day, but still below your buy price Falling K?
And mine....
PS. Had to say something to stop you from getting 4-in-a-row comments.
Powering ahead now. Are the dark days behind us?
so maybe the results were a lightbulb moment for investors. Really fallen a long but this could be a turnaround story once the company solves it legacy issues.
Some rays of hope without being blinding. I don;t think the results are too bad and signal some hope. Recent performance in the updates has been pretty dismal and these were never going to be remedied by a flick of a switch. I am hopeful of a recovery here.
Turnover down, profit down, earnings per share down. And DIA continue to extract themselves from the third party manufacturing arrangements. Is this maximum despair?
.....and PeskyLad you are living up to your name, I was playing "5 posts in a row" till you blew it.
.. on the 25th feb.
Blackmore above 3% now so maybe we'll be getting a positive surprise for a change?!
....I am reading today's RNS as "we have shot ourselves in the foot". IMHO
A holding goes above 5%..... and the board cos crazy with speculation.
Ooops, sorry, wrong holding. This is DIA..... where there is much darkness.....and silence
Never did find the NED's buy....most recent Director's dealings listed on LSE are from many moons ago. Maybe I should do my research on a proper website - LOL.
Go for it Strudel as my prediction jinx has struck again. I can accumulate more next month at these levels hopefully. Did you find the Director buy I referenced?
Hey Falling K, I could help you out by setting my sell orders at 606p and 707p. My 578 limit is about to expire having watched the price bounce off 572 repeatedly a week or so ago. Those two limits should get you to circa 602 and 703 quite nicely.... But never trigger my sell. ;-)
I sure did :0 I am confident of a rise Strudel as buys are all at full ask. However I am buying these regularly at monthly intervals so a fall or at these levels suits me fine for now. I vale DIAL at 600p minimum and 700p when the recovery is in full swing.
.....you definitely jinxed it with that last post. ;-)
Definitely the right board. 8 August 42000 buy. Check the Daily Mail or Investegate as it is shown there. Nice bounce today.
