hello m8,you should do what i do sometimes and not even bother checking the sp for months at a time, just depressing to keep looking at des everyday, but having said that, depends what youre average is,
Well , nearly gone into infinity ,this share big let down been in for 24 months and it feels like a prison sentence too ! Not much to look forward to c'est la vie .
Ta. I'll keep an eye on it.
This is probably the best share you can have in the falklands because if the falklands does make discovery then which share will give you the most turn over for yoyr money with the sp bbeing in pennys way i see it for sure.....
so where do you see des in a years time?
For a load of water !
still a good short term buy for deffinate.

Good point. I don't recall the exact figure but RKH own either 60, or is it 40% ? Of the DES part of Sea Lion. So they are not too bothered about DES at the moment. They will probably decided which way to jump in a couple of years, or so
I too sold out immediately after the oil to water fiasco, with nothing but wildcat drilling ahead holding would've been utter madness. However, thats not where DES is today. I'm back in, current SP 13.5p, they've oil and RKH / PMO will bring Sealion to production and exploration drilling within Des acreage, farm-in news expected soon. I'm not making any predictions about the SP over the coming weeks or even months but for those prepared to wait, at the current SP both DES / RKH are a strong buy imo.
does anyone know how much oil des has out of sealion, wonder why premier/rkh has not bought it, or am I wrong, been in from day one,
J9 It's still hurting LOL...!, I invested originally at £00.45p and sold at around £01.20 - bought in on the way down at £00.69 and have been holding my breath ever since..... GLA, I'm not bitter, just rather p***ed Off...! with this share :)
But let's be honest you did find sht loads of water
I rememebr that. I was invested here and in profit and then they found water instead of oil. i sold on the way down at like 77p. what a day that was. GLA, I do hope it does a RKH.
It depends what you're wishing for and the scope of evidence - Some poor PI's are well and truely locked in at well over £01.00. Personally I would advise people to DTOR, I'm on the side of caution as far asa DES goes, I have too much invested at far to big a loss. Many others, as I, are still spinning after the Oil to water FIASCO.... However, if you have some worthwhile evidence to share I'm all ear's. Please spare me the speech regarding '' if I can't afford to loose it, blah, blah, blah....''
get investing....santas changed his name to desire this xmas....
""We are pleased to have agreed this sale (of Norske assets) as part of an ongoing programme of non-core asset disposals. We continue to concentrate our efforts on projects where Premier is best positioned to add value"" http://www.rigzone.com/news/oil_gas/a/128540/Premier_Sells_Norwegian_Licenses_to_Cairn Hopefully the Falklands??
For me this and the other falklies are the most interesting shares in AIM. So much potential and yet so far soo disappointing (for many of us, I expect a lot of money has been made on this to) looking at other falklies I just think something is brewing in the North, lets see if I'm right over the next couple of days. Just the beginning I think, many will start selling as soon as this goes up a couple of pence.
Thanks to all for your views advice and time to answer my question.I will continue to hold as I'm sure we will see the rewards in time, when I wouldn't like to predict,it's not as easy as I thought this share game is it,but I have learnt a bit so hold it is,once again thanks and GLA.
Nothing stopping them buying shares but they would have to announce the share ownership as they cross certain thresholds. I am unsure what these are but will be 5% of issued share capital or less. Imagine RKH state they have bought 5% of DES and the shares are no longer cheap! So in simple terms it is not really possible. Also as they mop up the shares then the price would have to rise as long term holders will also be in place. Not really cricket... Far better to work with the directors and major shareholders and make it in there interest :-)
I don't think there is enough shares available to take overall control
This must be a strong possibility but any news would put the price up very quickly!!
I'm no expert but what is to stop Rkh/Pmo or any one else acquiring these shares on the open market at current price or lower thus gaining majority share holding and take over would be done cheaply. My thoughts are it could be done this way.Any advice would be helpful and informative.
just love the rampers,ha,how much would rockhopper be prepared to pay for desire in a take overbid, not worth much at the moment.
Wouldn't a take-over by RKH be a good thing for Desire?
