heard someone floating a good rumour, if it's good could see 17p or more...good lucky dip before AGM
One day I will read a comment from you on a bb where a) you are enthusiastic b) you know what you are talking about and c) you actually own the shares on which you spout. As is said on other boards..... A is a T.
Going to <12p...
I wouldnt be suprised if they have sold all the oil undercover..because from all the prospects just a cover up . Come on can we get 50m in this share anyone willing to donate
I think it is because DES are in a precarious financial state, but nevertheless have proven oil. If they get a farm out/in it will be a financial shot in the arm and should hike to price. If they do not do that, then borrowing does not seem an option, its got to be a sell off
I am going to the AGM as I think some very interesting questions will be raised the Board have some explaining to do.I am not a seller.
So AGM wht are they going to say...we have held production until 2014...okay so what shall we do for time being...hmmm lets get dr who on board...he has a 'potential oil find ' lets call the bail outs back from when we had a market cap of 70m....hmm sure we will surely reach 23p...what do you think rockhopper...will our small percentahe stake in you be worth while...hmmm i do say premier oil made a substantial investment...ahh guess if there was no oil why the investment...ahhh it seems to me they found barralled and lied to us all maybe...na never how could thry cover up a discover that required the govenment to intervene...are you saying its a cover up...na would i say that in a world offreedm of speech ahhh what is it then...frustration this share hasnt done anything..a few chiefs with over predictions...and ow yes goldman sachs rating this a strong buy giving it a value of 56p in short term...really 56p and we are around 14p what a load of exageration far from truth...ahhh what do you think
Thats what i am doing , also buying at these s/p levels. BW
I have been invested for a long time since the rachel north well fiasco , There is only 6 million left but its the assets that are important 4% of sealion, and the unknown value of elaine & isobel which the 3d seismic survey have highlighted a 30% + chance of oil & gas . its to late to sell at this silly sp in my opinion hold tight . GLA .
More speculation... This share is isn't going anywhere for some time, ADJshares has give the best summary of where DES is, however I can't understand why people keep making reference to this being a buy..?
I'm going to sit tight.
AGM next week maybe some news then I like you running a large loss but NOT selling.
Good post, exactly my thinking, share raising is simply not an option at the current mcap. So, farm-in? DES have to be part of the negotiation, the field development plan cannot be approved without them, they have the potential to be a real thorn in the side of RKH/PMO, it wont be a give away. Farm-in / sale are the only options imo. Whatever happens I expect the SP to be significantly higher once newsflow returns, also prepared to wait until 2015 if need be. Its a buy imo.
Looking at 'barchart.com', the second level support here is 13.428. Not been in FI shares for a while but RKH have to make a decision soon on share buy-back or share divi (you will know more on this). This will show the market which way they are going and what is to happen to SL, of which DES own ?%. Also rumours of complete sale of DES as they do not have the funds to do anything else i.e. share raising is not an option with a MC of £50m etc. Its not an easy place to be but if you do not desperately need the money I would definitely stay put. Work out what is the worst hit you can take and set a target sell price. Personally I do not think this can go much further down without manipulation (was that done today on only 120K of sales) and I, and I'm sure alot of others will start buying soon. News will turn this around pronto. p.s. we all have plenty of bottom drawer shares just sitting and waiting. I don't think taking a 75% hit is a good idea. Good luck
If you are thinking of bailing out with a loss then you could consider sxx and val, maybe possibly you could recoup some loss, dyor and all that . Good luck
I haven't posted here for a long time and said to myself "I'll post when it hits 50p again", but is this the most crap and boring share ever or what ? It's like watching paint dry only much more expensive. Can anyone on here give some sound advice on whether I should be bailing out at a £9k loss on a £12.5 investment or bide my time ? Don't really want to make a loss like this but could do something better with the £.5k I have left. Help please.
I'm not short, I'm 1.85mt tall - I'm not a wind up ethier - and I've been reading books for the last four years, almost daily. You shouldn't take my comments personally, I wasn't doubting your business acumen or skill as an investor, however, I was merely asking you to share your evidence. May be you should read some books on emotional intelligence. May I respectfully suggest Stough et al 2009, the e-book is only £90, a bargain. Thanks for your post, and good luck.
Ive just read through some of your post as I assumed you were either short or just on a wind up. May I suggest reading some books before trying to invest / gamble, start with something very basic and try to learn rather than just blame for your poor trades, its not that difficult. Good luck
Not going next week myself, ----- also still invested here. BW
I am also loosing money but lets see what happens I first bought in 1999!!!

Steptoe - I empathise. Daya - You're right it's a dog of a share, long term game does not even come close, if I could dump I would, principles and the wife won't let me..! Jay111 - You're optimism is impressive, what are the foundations for your view on DES, if they are as promising as you suggest then why aren't they as RKH or FOGL (00.20 +)..? My view is based on almost four years of waiting for this shower to take something meaningful to market - That's my rant over
