As expected the sp reaches £10 during intraday trading, hopefully this price can be maintained in the short term. I believe that's a fair and reasonable price given the information available. Up to the management to deliver now.
I brought these at near their peak and have been holding since then with an average of just over £12. Not sure if/when it may rise to those levels but thinking if I should just cut my losses or hold
Yes sell away wadz if you think the peak was 1200 because you obviously haven't done even basic research on this company
That’s a bit aggressive
Well dumb question to go with my dumb answer and depends how long you wish/are able to tie up your money waiting for the future rises we all expect. Suspect wadz chose to average down too soon and has tied up more money than feels comfortable with in which case a partial sell might be the answer
@AquaeSulis01 Apologies if my thinking aloud got you annoyed lol.
I did do research as I believe green is the way forward with potential high growth. I had brought these with a long term hold however have been disappointed with the large drop considering all the green plans/talk
I also hold INRG EFT so both these combined have been in red for a while. I probably brought at the wrong time at their peaks. You live and learn....GLA
The whole hydrogen sector has seen price falls this year, investors were getting ahead of themselves. Reality comes back to bite. Happy to hold at £10 and but add more if the price drops for no logical reason. Each investor must decide their own risk reward balance.
Apologies wadz for original flippant comment. I guess the real question you are asking yourself is will this retract after today's gain or carry on in an upward trajectory in the near future I wish I knew?
A more serious attempt at breakout this time.
Wads - I'm holding rather athanor selling. I find it hard not to see just a string of positive news over the next couple of years. It's a shame you bought near the peak but all it means is that you'll get a little less profit than those who bought at lower levels. But the trend does seem to be up here rather than down. There'll be peaks, like the ones where you bought, which can be characterised as speculative peaks where short term traders are piling in for a quick buck. And there'll be retrace, but over the long term, it's only likely to go up. And I wouldn't necessarily call it a speculative punt either. It's more of a growth company in the way amazon was a few years ago. A speculative punt would be a small miner looking for gold etc. This definitely is not that.
@Takayama - the shares are in my ISA account as I plan to hold onto them long term. Hopefully see the SP back to the highs later in the year if not sooner. Regret not buying some more during the dip.
I feel your pain I bought some at a higher price when the original Berenberg target price of 1540 came out then a month later they were involved in the 1060 equity raise which was very frustrating as they clearly knew this when issuing this target price.
With these AIM companies you have to be careful as they can run up and down v quickly compared to the FTSE so have to do careful due diligence.
If I was you I would whole Ceres at a minimum to the climate conference in the autumn as there will be a run up in the clean energy sector again similar to when Biden did his proposed infrastructure stimulus package a few months back.
I am starting to have concerns with CWR and the fact pipeline is not ramping up and results from Weichai trials are not here yet but will treat my holding as one of my speculative shares. Be very careful on leaving large sums of money in here as at this stage hydrogen’s size of the future world is still to be proven.
Good comments by Slim, I think.
Meanwhile, the last fortnight has been encouraging - 15' view: https://invst.ly/vm6zl .
Thanks for your replies.
Not sure we will see the highs of £13+ in the short term but its encouraging with the recent rise. I'm looking to see how this pans out for the reminder of the year and then reassess whether to decrease my holdings or hold.
