When is the next trading update? It isnt listed on the website.
The headache is not enough staff anyplace to keep the drinkers happy! But tongues hanging out shouldn't do us any actual harm. Just wish I had the confidence to buy more at this level!
Your prediction about the weather was very good! It’s quite likely that lots of people will be rehydrating themselves at CPC pubs. Surprised that the share price does not reflect this likelihood.
Hmmm, the new opening in Bury sounded wrong as all CPC places are in the southern half of the UK. Turns out it's Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk.
Citywire today:
"City Pub Group is at a ‘material discount’, says Peel Hunt
City Pub Group (CPC) is seeing an improvement in trading and ongoing expansion could be an accelerator for the shares, says Peel Hunt.
Analyst Douglas Jack retained his ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of 145p on the stock, which closed up 3.2% at 96.5p on Wednesday.
The company reported an improvement in like-for-like sales from -2% in March and April to 5% in May, ahead of expectations. Sales were up 20% during the one-off Platinum Jubilee weekend.
‘The shares are at a material discount to the 145p share net asset value (NAV),’ said Jack.
‘In our view, the key to growing the NAV and the share price is faster expansion. City Pub Group has four large openings in 2022, of which Damson & Wilde in Bury could be one to provide the catalyst for the company to hit the accelerator.’"
Just saying
...a hot summer with a massive requirement to cool off. These will make all that nice beer a free gift if you buy!
Today ... should get the sp back to 100p over the rest of the week.

Looks interesting. A lot of money was invested in the refurbishment but it should prove to be very popular. Just opened on 25th May.

...and one is coming this long weekend!
...to drown sorrows over next few months! Think we should be £1.50 in 6 months.
The City Pub Group plc (AIM: CPC) announces that it has been notified that Clive Watson, Executive Chairman of the Company, and Richard Prickett, Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company yesterday purchased 100,000 ordinary shares of 1 penny each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") and 50,000 Ordinary Shares respectively. The full details of the purchases and resultant shareholdings are set out below.
Great Results.
We should be minimum at 140p! Might even close at 100p today!
Estate valued £1.45 per share. Trading at 98% of 2019.
We are emerging from the pandemic in the strongest financial position that we have ever been in and therefore have signalled our intention to recommence dividends in the autumn.
Bought in Trading at 76.88p this morning to supplement ISA investment (avg 101p). I've been wrong before but can only foresee a rise tomorrow as I suspect trading in the last few months has been very strong and debt wiped out by the sale of 6 pubs.
Results are up to December but the future looks bright.
Shares bought almost 4 times share sold yet price DOWN over 4%. What do the traders know that we dont?
I am expecting about 2.5p per share earnings and a NAV of around £1. With a hopefully normal 22/23 year these can both be expected to rise by c33%, if the co does not get a bid by then. Definitely worth holding.
So towards end of April for results or into May ? All these MP’s wanting to party pubs must be hoaching.
£1.50 NAV ?
I might be joining you in topping up. Never thought I'd see the share price back where it was before the vaccine rally of late 2020! I know there are plenty of headwinds such as cost inflation and squeezed household income - but the shares now represent excellent value for anyone prepared to see beyond the immediate horizon. I wouldn't be surprised if this doubled in value in a few year's time.
