Sold out after holding for a year. Momentum is now negative. A disappointing loss of 22% but you can't win them all.
Thanks for the info, bought a few on spec after having looked at the financials on FT.
I think AXA are selling down. Look at yesterdays RNS.
Though not often you get the chance to buy low on good news.
Annnnnd the sp goes down?
OK is this some parallel reverse universe where good results and fresh orders results in a drop in sp.
Nice order for NLAW anti tank weapons.
Berenberg cuts Chemring price target to 370 (380) pence - 'buy'
Jefferies raises Chemring to 'buy' (hold) - price target 360 (330) pence
Even before the finals, SP should have been 350p - 400p if you compare it with BAE's over the last year.
My view from the "UPS" thread:
An 6% increase in profit but a 20% increase in EPS, but a 19% increase in Dividends only covered 3.5 times.
Are in a historic PE of 15, maybe a bit too high for only 6% increase in profits ( growth ) and only paying 9% tax charge.
Solid figures. These days results seem to have to be exceptionally above expectations to avoid a drop when they are announced.
Sales up 13%. Profit up 20%. Order Book up 30%. Margins increased, debt negligible, Both Divisions performing strongly, Dividend up 19% Surplus in the Pension scheme, Large visibility of earnings for next year.
And the shares go down!!!!!!
Hard to comprehend.
I've bought in based on good positive momentum.
This is about the only stock showing gains in my portfolio! I think we could do with the war coming to an end, even though the share price may fall. My other stocks may improve? Just shows you need a balanced portfolio.
Up 10% so far today, and yet there's nothing we know today that we didn't know last week. Amazing how the market can suddenly wake up.
Even without that, definitely undervalued. A tasty morsel for a US predator given half the chance.
CHG is a good place to be just now IMO.
For what it's worth!
CEO has just sold 165k shares at 282p to cover tax and NI on 340k share options. Happens a lot these days with nil cost share option schemes, so nothing to worry about.
Strangely enough, the RNS has not appeared on this website.
Numis reiterates buy with a target price of 370p.
With Barclays at 380p, that makes 3 brokers clustered around 370p.
BERENBERG RAISES CHEMRING GROUP PRICE TARGET TO 365 (330) PENCE - 'BUY'
Another 16.7k shares moved into ISAs.
18k shares moved to an ISA in order to shelter future gains from tax - a clear signal that the SP is expected to rise from here.
