My reading of it is that the delay is only about Cyprus, and they will still be updating us about the field work done in Canada shortly?
“Lab logjam” in Canada as well as Cyprus? - unlikely
How did CMRS manage to announce assays on 13 Sep?
We were supposed to have results for both Cyprus & Labrador by now?
He's not going to tell lies in a RNS - he could have left it as 'delay with the lab' but specifically used the word "logjam" to describe the situation.
Tight ship D,,,, Just how it should be,,,,,,
I think your negativity is based on something other than the Company prospects and fundamentals.....
Like a scorned lover ...or the owner of a shanty shack next to our soon to mined VMS deposit....
Its vendetta....or you clearly need a little help......
Good Samaritans is a good start D ....you need someone to talk too.. :)))
When good news lands 15p would not be out of the question :))
Destitute of doom :)))
The only way is up from here D......
Assay confirmation will land this week...... Then bingo.....Double figures and a plan .....
Canada... Now I am sure wheels are turning behind the scenes...... Update there due too.....
ATB holders...... Fundamentals will play out here....... Certain of it...
Not so much the results pranchalee - happy to wait into October for those tbh - but its more the lack of tweets, which IMO is what is giving rise to the negative speculation and de ramping of the stock, which in turn is impacting on sentiment.
So if you are reading this CHF, give us a tweet at least!!!
I would imagine that someone at CHF will be reading this bb and will have picked up the talk and concern amongst shareholders about a seeming 'news blackout'. Can't imagine they are oblivious to the situation.
Not charlie Stephenson surely ?
He is at SI capital now
He would not do that , big respect pranch
Ha I am heavily invested in SAVE, currently suspended due to a huge RTO!
My average is around 8p, that wait to come out of suspension can be such a pain when it likely opens over 45p! Lol!
Trek
Destitute - its funny that you post only about CHF and are not invested in it. Are you being the good Samaritan here warning the rest of us of just what a terrible investment/situation this is right now? There are probably lots of other lousy companies so maybe your work here is done and its time to help out some other lousy investors in some other lousy companies?
I think we get the message from the endless messages?
You see, they were tweeting about Cyprus and Labrador back in August 2021. Even if they had bad news re one of these projects (say Cyprus for example), it doesn't explain why they would stop tweeting re Labrador, and vice versa. In fact, you would think they would tweet even more about the other project. BUT they just stopped tweeting (about anything) in early August. CMRS have shown that there is interest in Cyprus VMS deposits, so maybe that interest has been registered with CHF as well? Of course it is all entire speculation, but is it more or less probable than the negative speculation?
Yanis - I agree with you, but like Trek, I've also been wondering whether they are in discussions with a third party. No one can say for sure whether they are, but this would also explain the fact that they have stopped tweeting. It might be that the terms of the deal involve equity (as they often do) in which case the parties might have agreed not to take any actions or release any information (which includes tweets) pending the negotiations.
Legalwolf, I agree in that they cannot sit on price sensitive info - it is against AIM rules, is illegal.
But I do feel that they are letting down their shareholders - they promised two sets of assay results (Cyprus & Labrador) for August/September. Up until 9 August they were tweeting almost every other day, sometimes daily then blackout from August 9th.
But they promised results Aug/Sep - to me I take this to mean middle of August to middle of September.
We are now 4 trading days away from the end of August and we are still waiting.
Having missed the dates they set, there should have been an update on when the results will be issued. It didn’t happen - Yes, they are letting their shareholders down IMO.
There are always ways to delay but defo you wouldn’t delay if it was bad. One may use ‘early interpretations’ prior to market release as reasons to be optimistic during parallel discussions.
I mean what do peeps expect. Just look at general corporate behaviours a little wink is nothing in the scheme of things. Lehman, Enron, Libor etc etc
This delay is more likely leading to exceptional news than bad news imo.
Trek
I don't think the BOD are just deliberately sitting on bad news and with a news blackout to accompany it. That just doesn't make sense to me. They have responsibilities to the market (in terms of the release of price sensitive info) and to shareholders, including the likes of Polymetal and Altius. Waiting for the share price to fall and then releasing the bad news is just plain nonsensical and an act of self-harm (bordering on sabotage). Moreover, how does it solve the problem for the BOD, in that the news HAS to be released at some point?
Trek, are you implying that they have not sent the samples for analysis until after the joint venture is completed?
Can’t see the VMS results being bad. Historical evidence points to the contrary. I think they’re up to something else. Obviously the results can’t be withheld but they can be delayed/sat on.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we get the results followed by some other news like a JV which could be finalised once the results are published.
That’s my gut.
Trek
that's actually quite funny - at least the outrageous deramping is sometimes accompanied by a touch of quality humour!
Lack of information has been my concern. Having told us that we will get Cyprus and Labrador results in August/September and August past, then middle of September past there should have been an update, instead we had a news blackout since Aug. Anyway, 5 more trading days to end of September now … fingers crossed we will get the results by next Thursday.
It's about managing expectations. You're doing your best Pranchalee but it's the job of the board to do that through the proper channel - RNS. No fault attached to CHF if there are genuine delays at the assay labs. The fault lies in not keeping us informed.
Has CHF really received no assay results from the Cyprus program? We deserve to be told so that we can all make up our own minds about the prospects based on the facts.
Pranchalee, looks like that both Cyprus and Labrador results were promised for August/September - 5 more trading days to end of September and at least one of these should be announced.
PuffleHound, thanks for that info.
So we have the prospectus saying
“Page 31 of the corporate presentation dated June 2021 says "August-September: results from Cyprus programme" and "August-September: news and results from Labrador". The line at the bottom of the page says "With two major projects, CHF will now have enhanced news flow".
And
A tweet saying results in September.
I knew I saw August/September for results somewhere but anyway the tweet said September.
We have exactly a week left to the end of September which is Thursday this coming week. After the recent news blackout which is lasting for quite a few weeks, I hope they do not fail to deliver results before end September.
As per prospectus we should get results for Labrador too this month.
Who says the Cyprus assay results have been delayed by COVID-19 and/or capacity constraints at the labs? If either or both of those scenarios were true, CHF should have announced the fact.
Page 39 of the prospectus issued on 7 July says, under Significant Developments, Uncertainties and Trends, "the Directors remain confident that the impact of COVID 19 on its business will be relatively immaterial. The most significant impact of COVID 19 on the Group's activities is expected to be the difficulty moving personnel in and out of the country to work carry out work (sic) in relation to the Portfolio"
Page 31 of the corporate presentation dated June 2021 says "August-September: results from Cyprus programme" and "August-September: news and results from Labrador". The line at the bottom of the page says "With two major projects, CHF will now have enhanced news flow". Promises, promises.
We WILL get an RNS within a week. The half year report for the six months to end June must be released by end September. The report must contain a commentary on the important events that impacted the financial information for the half year and a description of the principal risks and uncertainties for the second half of the year. With luck we might learn something but I suspect it will be the usual opaque nonsense.
Has anybody emailed the company?
