Thanks mate. I didn't realise RNSs wouldn't appear here. I always thought LSE was totally reliable but nevermind lol Are you a holder here? If so well done to you pal :)
Investegate had the RNS http://www.investegate.co.uk/cityfibre-infrastr---cfhl-/rns/cityfibre-form-jv-with-sky---talktalk/201404150700148133E/
Seriously I shouldn't have to find out why this share has randomly risen 10% by looking out for news Read this http://sharecast.com/news/talktalk-and-sky-partner-up-with-cityfibre-for-york-broadband-service/21612014.html and tell me that is not price sensitive info haha!
Thanks, but no capital atm, mostly tied up in QPP, but the money I had planned for this I put into KDR and that has taken off today. I will get back onto HSBC and see why they're dragging their heels.
Which brokers are you guys using, I can't get these through my normal HSBC dealing account?
Until I spotted the post on the main website. In short, we have partnered up with "businesscoms" a Peterborough based company that specialises in providing business communications. "Businesscoms will work closely with CityFibre to provide businesses with symmetrical Gigabit services made possible by the pure fibre network. What this means to customers is that they can expect download and upload speeds of up to 1000 Megabits per second, enabling them to transfer large data files simultaneously with no delays. In addition, Businesscoms will be able to help over 500 of its customers take advantage of these unparalleled connection speeds, providing state of the art VOIP services and other solutions to reduce businesses’ overall costs and increase their productivity." It also states "The partnership follows CityFibre’s successful ‘Gig Up’ launch campaign, which after just four weeks has generated registrations from over 200 local businesses interested in gaining access to the new fibre network." So not only have we now partnered up with a company which has at least 500 customers, we have also doubled the number of interested businesses in the "Gig Up" campaign.
Compared to the plans offered by other ISPs, price-wise Gigler is good/affordable. It would be interesting to get figures on usage, as there isnt much mentioned apart from the few reviews found online.
Are Cityfibre looking at Jo public as well now....
http://recombu.com/digital/news/gigabit-broadband-isp-cityfibre-pipes-1gbps-wifi-over-bournemouth-air-festival_M12057.html Looks like its more commercial business contracts in Cityfibre's sights
Slow but steady. Best way.
over 6% up with only a few buys, news coming?
I should clarify; By lasting longer, I'm referring to the fact that as technology improves and speeds are increased further, its likely it can still be deployed to areas via the fibre that we currently own/are laying. Where as copper would need to be ripped up/replaced.
Amazing news, over 100 businesses. The price of the packages are typically £250 a month, minimum. As for the thousands of KMs of fibre, it fits in with my view that this could be the next cable and wireless. Only Fibre rather than copper, so not only will it last longer, its much easier and quicker to replace if ever needed.
For once not a speculative buy but something more solid. Still love the non exec hire. Yes every company hires non execs for their board but I think this one is more than just going to AGMs imo.
Agreed, I think a detailed research note or a tip from one of the more respected stock tippers could drive us up to a quid within a few days of publishing. I've been surprised thus far at how little coverage we have been getting, especially since we're effectively changing entire towns/cities digital-infrastructure.
At the rate its climbing 1 pound could be up a lot quicker than we expect imo.
I've had a quick look around, and the PeterboroughCore is expected to cost £30mn pounds. The Serco contract is due to cover 84% of build cost, so ~£25m over 20 years. Thus, using just 5% of the fibre we're installing in Peterborough we will double our turn over in the next 12 months, and assets will reach £50-£55mn by March 2015(when the build is fully completed). Most of the build is expected to be completed this year, with the remainder done before end of Q1 2015, and some services will be online/available for sale/use by July of this year. The last services are due online by Feb. 2015. Where we're building is also covering thousands of houses, which could prove very lucrative since we expect to have 95% of the service non-contracted for 20 years. I'd estimate £1 a share by next year is more than possible, since our assets and turnover are guaranteed to double.
to see positive movement this week. like the track record of new non exec too. im sure patience will be rewarded here.
And the fact the new non exec has quoted she wants to contribute shows she is no silent non exec there for the pay only. As the shareholders protector a great choice. I do not normally do tech companies unless the investment case holds up. In this case I believe it does. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Agreed, excellent non-exec. It fits in with my view of what this company could in years to be become; Another cable and wireless, only without the huge exposure to foreign emerging markets and their shaky debt. As for the price I think this will be one of the rare few on aim which started slow, then dramatically shoots up. Will it be tomorrow the price climbs, or next year? who knows. One things for sure, the growing assets should support the rise, so we shouldn't end up being yet another aim company which rises then falls. If anything, any share price rise will be linked and stabilised by the asset valuation, which is growing by the day.
70p should go tom imo. And what a non exec appointment. Wow.
Looks a quality addition as well.
