Investors in Centamin (LON:CEY) have unfortunately lost 19% over the last three years
n his essay The Superinvestors of Graham-and-Doddsville Warren Buffett described how share prices do not always rationally reflect the value of a business. One imperfect but simple way to consider how the market perception of a company has shifted is to compare the change in the earnings per share (EPS) with the share price movement.
Centamin saw its EPS decline at a compound rate of 6.2% per year, over the last three years. This reduction in EPS is slower than the 12% annual reduction in the share price.
So it's likely that the EPS decline has disappointed the market, leaving investors hesitant to buy.

And a different perspective â Centamin shareholders have received a total shareholder return of 29% over one year. And that does include the dividend. That's better than the annualised return of 1.4% over half a decade, implying that the company is doing better recently. In the best case scenario, this may hint at some real business momentum, implying that now could be a great time to delve deeper.â
Come on Daz, have you been smoking something through the "Hubble bubble" and looking at some desert mirage of "Bonanza grades "?
Take off those very rose coloured glasses and face the reality ,Centamin has yet to deliver an awful lot if its promises are real and not more balony!
The management spoke with forked tongue in the past, why trust them now, I wont until I see the share price at least doubled and a proper dividend reinstated!
I fail to see how we have received a 29% return considering the the share price has been on it's ar(se in the sick bucket for the past 3 years or so whilstover the last year the dividend has been halved to"Scraps' when competed to savings interest rates!
Mr Tibbles , Horgan in his speech said "Possible Bonanza Grades" .
He did not promise because he does not use a crystal ball.
Try, though for you ,may be hard ,look to the future and the realitity , and not the history.addictor
All you do is appear to be contraie, and seemingly annoying trying no doubt to undermine any confidence.
There are many investors/traders here, who are not without intellegence.
Keep well and remember any medications.
Tibbs, itâs quoting the end of the article you postedâŚâa different perspectiveâ https://tinyurl.com/mpkavvhk
At least this is not in Mexico and is not Fresnillo. They have lost 32% so far this year and it look like it could fall further. Fortunately not holding that one.

Sukari Bonanza zones. The Bast area between Ptah and Amun continues to return high grade underground zones
of Bonanza style mineralisation. Drilling in this area, demonstrates a consistent geological host within 100m of
existing infrastructure which could improve underground operational flexibility through the development of a new
high-grade mining area in the near-term. Drilling highlights include:
o 10m at 64g/t Au, including 2m at 199g/t Au
o 4.5m at 267g/t Au, including 4m at 301.29g/t Au
o 17m at 12.5g/t Au, including 2.5m at 6.84g/t Au and 4m at 47.09g/t A

Centamin CEO predicts a gold bonanza at Sukari mine after geological re-assessment

Horgan described these as âbonanza high grade structuresâ located within both the open pit and underground mines which hosted very high grades of around 30g/t and higher.

Centamin CEO Martin Horgan believes the geological work done at the groupâs Sukari mine in Egypt over the last year has laid out the roadmap for the mine to consistently produce 500,000oz of gold annually over the next decade.
Yes I am aware of that, which is why I posted it.
I am not being negative, its being realistic considering how many times shareholders have been led up the garden path too many times in the past which is why I view any comany statements now with caution or possibly with scepticism!
No doubt Martin Horgan could sell ice to Eskimos, however It proof in the share price that is required and as yet its not forthcoming!
