Another league title wrapped up and a crack at the £15 million jackpot.
Let's hope you get the 'strong performance off the field' then...
What a doing, gulf in class clear but all in all no shame in it. Business model remains sound and as long as we're participating in Champions League football we'll have a roller coaster existence. Last season was exceptional, this season a reality check but each season brings something new and many millions with it. Expect to see another strong performance off the field in 2013/14 and hopefully another domestic double on it.
Sorry Bluey, had a long night playing Decathlon on the Atari, just out of bed but ready to re-engage. Oh, by the way, in answer to your first question, 'Owned has now spread beyond computer and gaming contexts and become part of standard slang, and typically follows severe defeat or humiliation, usually in an amusing way or through the dominance of an opposing party', it's good to keep on trend pal and i certainly hope that clears the issue up for you. Now you have a tendency to run and hide after making a fool of yourself so try to take the rough with the smooth. I explained in an earlier post that the matter and the clowns associated with it would be dealt with and that's exactly what's happening. Recent events have been disappointing because the reputation of the Celtic support across the globe is fantastic. I'm proud that my club is taking quick action to address the matter, I'm proud of the prudent financial management they've demonstrated over the past 20 years which has placed us at the top of the tree domestically whilst other clubs have gone into administration or worse still LIQUIDATION. I'm proud of the Celtic Family, it's Charitable roots and inclusive nature. I'm proud of what we've achieved and of what is still to come, and I'm proud that Glasgow is Green and White!!
I know this is a financial forum, but can some tell me the difference between displaying a banner with Bobby Sands (which allegedly is not right) and a minutes applause for Nelson Mandela? Were they both not labelled terrorists by the Thatcher rule?
Fistimer DAA you not understand we spell it so you can understand. He does He replies. 4 hr gap this morning think its sign on day.
celtic banned green brigade well done i wonder if he can influence the ones on this forum as well that would be just dandy.. perhaps first timer is one of them heres hoping.
I'm glad you've stuck your head above the parapet on this BB, it will give me the opportunity to own you on here as well. You should by now recognise the hazards of auto spell on iPhone, after all you've 'praqcticed' misspelling often enough on the RIFC site. Perhaps you intentionally wrote 'But I will ASKED the mods to check...' perhaps it was a mistake, but it would be childish to pick up on it. You have listed a number of issues, most of which have no basis in fact. What is without question is that whilst these alleged misgivings have been taking place this CLUB's SP has risen by 100%. Now go back to the RIFC board and hide under your wee ignore banner. The board won't last long the way things are going so get as many posts in as you can before the newco is delisted. Owned!
Would it be a no brainer to say that this will be over 80 by Christmas?
You're command of the English language isn't the greatest, is it Try discussing the SP then and don't try to sour this board with school boy nonsense. What are your thoughts on the current SP, the fantastic financials and the clubs remarkable business strategy that has generated millions of pounds in profit each year? What about the record sponsorship deals, the European success, the expanding global fan base, the upcoming Commonwealth Games and the major investment in the club infrastructure. Go on, give it a go.
bigot cannot even discuss the real issue which affects this clubs standing as obsessed with the other side.this is supposed to be a share forum for people genuinely interested in shares
major sponsor pull out rumour has it due to action of fans and negative publicity. I hope the board are going to deal with the situation firmly . the cost to the club in large fines and repairs to the motherwell stadium does the club reputation no good at all.
According to today's papers, Celtic could be onto approx £12500 per day if all players possible are selected for their worlds cup squads. This starts 2 weeks before the cup and continues whilst the players are still there. Bearing in mind the first 2 weeks are group games they will be picking up at least 28x 12500 for basically nothing, not bad when you look at it. Obviously if players go further in the tournament the better. Nice little earner.
:) if only it were possible. I think fair value is in the high 70's to mid 80's,given the constraints of the market we are forced to operate in. What's not in doubt is that their is only one show in town and it's a green and white extravaganza.
Looking at the chart, up 100% on this time last year. What's the prospects of same again for 2014? Onwards and upwards.
... in the last week have pushed this up almost 20%. Good to see the SP reflecting the strong performance of the club both on and off the pitch. Some shrewd transfer dealings in the next 2 transfer windows could lead to a further decade of dominance and a seat at Europe's top table into the 2020's. Hail Hail!
thanks for the reply ...forms sent away :)
Thanks for the reply :)
You have to be a certain age to hold shares Either 16 or 18, can't remember which. I put mine on joint names as a holding for him later on. When he's old enough I will just transfer to hi name as sole holder.
Not 100% sure Brian but you could phone up your broker ( or share dealing number ) and ask them for paper certificates..... You have to pay for them ( as far as I remember, I've only done it once before a few years ago ) so you can split them up between you and your sons..... I think it was about £15 for a certificate..... Hopefully someone else can give a better answer.... :)
Bought a small amount of share the other day and was looking to split them between myself and my sons. was wondering how easy this would be?
Fag packet figures. £14m cash in the bank and £10.odds favourable overdraft from COOP. Net cash in the bank is around £3.5M. This does not include the c.£20M transfer income which happened after the accounting period. Not all this money will be up front. Safe to say, Celtic are is very robust financial health. A combination of Champions League football again this year and some shrewd transfer dealings will likely see Celtic as untouchable in Scotland for many years to come.

Can anyone give me a reasonable estimate of the situation, cash wise, in the club as it stands -allowing for last years CL money and this years transfer dealings. Also, adding seperately what can be expected from this years CL assuming a 3rd place finish and a move into the CL? I've estimated that the club should be, as i write, around£18m in the black, and should, by January, be about £28m in the black. these seem like very high sums. but i recall Celtic were in the red to the tune of c£800k last year, but since then there was last years CL money and the transfer profit this summer, bring it to in or around£18m (allowing for running costs, distributions to 3rd parties etc). if the figures are as above...and given how Celtic benefit from the Champions route into the CL...doesnt the Clubs valuation of £50-£60m seem very low, especially as The Rangers football Club 2012 have a valuation of only £20m less from a standing start?
What a dank and dreary wee chat cupboard this is .......where are all the pheople from this scottish based irish club ....are they off visiting other more busy rooms ? .....sign of the times really ;)
