You are right, just do enough or maybe not. Ange brought some oomph, I think it's been too much for the board to continue.
Board only care about one thing. Depressing to think what could be possible. HH
I love this club, have done since childhood in the 1950's. I am a shareholder, albeit not in the Dermot Desmond range.
Why is this great club being driven down, year after year, by tight fisted unambitious directors. Until this attitude or personnel is changed, there seems to be no way forward.
oldblue, not sure if you are either ill-informed or have chosen not to do any research around this. I would estimate that Celtic will earn a minimum of c.£30m from participation in this year's CL based on disappointing performances and early elimination.
- Each team receives EUR 15.64M for participation in the group stage
- Celtic would receive EUR 4.6M based on one win and two draws in the group stage. Any improvement on this would add at EUR 2.8M per win or EUR 930K per draw. Advancement beyond the group stage would see a minimum additional EUR 9.6M. But let's stick with the EUR 4.6M assumption.
- I believe there are seven teams in the group stage with a lower co-efficient, which means that Celtic receive 8 x EUR 1.137M = EUR 9.1M
- The market pool share is harder to calculate but EUR 5M is a conservative assumption.
15.64 + 4.6 + 9.1 + 5 = EUR 34.34M
Current exchange rate of £0.86 to the Euro = £29.53M
With a fair wind, I'd say popes11's £40M is likely to be closer than your £15-20M.
Of course the same is now also true for Rangers, albeit the co-efficient payment will be c.EUR 7M lower and the market pool share fractionally lower. Therefore, based on the same assumption re actual performance, your £20M assertion is actually likely to be true for Rangers.
Homework beats partisan detraction.
also where did you get the 40 million?....ahh daily record....slight problem you will probably get if you get in that is 15-20m as you have problems with norwegian teams....let alone engish permiership...la liga etc teams
also you get it after the league is played and not up front....so 18mnths till you get it
righto popes11..might be a slight problem
1. you havnt won it yet...unless you wana zoom call it now
2. villreal win champions league...no spot scotland
3. rangers win europa cup...no spot scotland...yes we ninja it from you if you win the league
also you have the bigger problem which maybe the up comin court case with your 'youth division' and the minor problem that they have there with certain legal issues pertaing to some ex emplyees now serving jail terms......
40m for the champions of Scotland if they gain automatic entry in next years CL. Still not guaranteed automatic entry but looking likely. Well done Celtic for nipping that blip year in the bud.
This is AIM not the FTSE.
Why no RNS after todays court judgement
Ha Ha the old pacific shelf nonsense

Weird how non shareholders come on here and actually make comment.
Maybe they just come to have a look at what trading in real shares looks like ?
They already done that long before the “other Team in Glagow”, check out Pacific Shelf
i suppose they could always do what the other team in glasgow did and just go bust and tell any victims it was the old club to blame
When can we expect a statement on this from the board ?

Anyone heard when they are to be released ? Usually mid -late September.
Late TR1
I noticed you had a late TR1 from October 2020.
You can ask the FCA to “reprimand” your major shareholder who was disregarding the FCA Rules.
I have recently been in communication with the FCA and if any of my investments have a late TR1 I inform the FCA.
It is my understanding that nobody in the past has ever informed the FCA that their Rules are constantly being ignored with regards to updating the Market when there is a change to a major shareholder.
RKB
Any update on Celtic season ticket sales for next season.
Last update I saw was zero.
I will say one thing about Steven Gerrard he knows the fan base well.
Steven Gerrard expects 'next few days to be messy' after lifting Scottish title.
He was correct it was very messy.
Looks like its a dead duck - and the froth coming off the share price to reflect.
Would be surprised if its over 90p by the time of the results.
Ha ha. A sevco fan talking about Dilution. Now that takes the biscuit.
popes11 have you actually looked at the finaces off your club? ild suggest you do that before talking about rangers financial position it way better than yours......ohh and hows the fan club wanting free shares for the season tickets? 550 quid ticket 460 quid back but they want it in shares....and that comes to about 20% off your total shares..(now thats one hell off a dilution)..how do you feal about that being a shareholder ild doubt any major shareholder will put there hand in there pocket with that one hanging over them...
A United Kingdom League would make sense so why not give all the clubs and their fans the chance.
True.
I also can't see the smaller English PL clubs fancying this, especially if it's supposedly a division reduced to 18 teams.
Not the first time it's been proposed - and never even got close before.
Benefit for the Scottish clubs but what is in it for the English clubs - absolutely nothing - would be turkeys voting for Xmas. Why would Burnley want 2 clubs above them in the pecking order ?
Still it's boosted the CFC share price for a day.
Hi Cambridgeblue.
I wonder if there's any truth in this. The Big 6 in the English PL clearly want to enhance their income. Both Barca and Real Madrid have huge refinancing needs, and JP Morgan was willing to help assist in the European SL.
The Man City deal, with Silver Lake buying 10% of the equity for £369million is off-the scale compared to numbers in Scotland.
If Rangers and Celtic were to join the English PL this would be transformational for shareholders. But if they just continue to remain in the Scottish PL this financial gulf could get increasingly larger. Who knows Rangers and Celtic could get a huge financial boost, representing Scotland against the English and Welsh teams, and the rest of the Scottish PL might get a little more interesting for the neutral like me.
What do you think?
Pump tastic.
