i gather buy signal on this on vector vest
I agree that the broader market is increasingly bearish so we may see a diluted effect of such splendid results and projections.
The thing I am most excited about is their increasingly aggressive acquisition strategy. The announcement of this new US acquisition today (Pivot) builds scale rapidly in one of the biggest global markets for IT sourcing and services. It adds just shy of £1billion turnover and £20m net but with CCC's scale they should be able to build net margin contribution in time. I think the headline amount paid was £60m plus debt so doesn't seem unreasonable and is to be paid out of current cash.
What a stonking operating & net margin increase. It's going to do well today. For 1 year though I honestly dont know. I am very bearish after seeing what's happening on the NASDAQ. Valuation corrections etc. But I do take on board your comment about the PE Ratio.
I think you are comparing chalk with cheese - CCC is a reseller and is cheap on a PE ration of 22 versus its peers in EU and US which are on 25+. Certainly can't be compared with the NASDAQ shares like Tesla (et al) on 200x earnings. I've held since the flotation and I am utterly convinced CCC have real traction with their recent US acquisition - they are also becoming more aggressive with their acquisition strategy to grow versus historical organic growth.
I am predicting year end sales of £5.8-6b and an Operating Profit of £175-190m . On that basis I'd say they are about 10% undervalued with a target price of £23.50.
Is this just the market makers shaking the tree due to results being published next week I think it is? Or is this a sign of over priced stocks (CCC is overpriced with a price to book ratio of over 5) crashing back to normality, considering what we are seeing in the US NASDAQ (Technology index) crashing? I think the bull market is finally dieing and a huge correction is coming.
Alliance News) - Computacenter PLC on Wednesday said it expects results for 2020 to be "materially above" its previous expectations
The FTSE 250-listed IT services firm said its upbeat outlook is as a result of good performance in the first half of the year continuing into the first two months of the second half.
"As we consolidate our forecasts for the rest of the year, it has become clear to the board that the likely out turn for the year as a whole will be materially above the board's previous expectations," Computacenter said.
The firm's interim results will be published next Wednesday.
Shares in Computacenter were trading 6.8% higher at 2,152.44 pence each on Wednesday morning in London.
Nice update. Making some cash on this one today and soon again come September interim results.
Test
Are going show a significant improvement. They are the go to company for large business wanting to facilitate home working. Any significant dip and im back in. Cant help feel current bull market is on a tight rope made of wool.
Although Computacenter shares currently trade on 17 times 2020 forecast earnings, I reckon this business still has plenty of room for expansion. I see this FTSE 250 stock as a good buy-and-hold opportunity.
Computacenter: Berenberg reiterates buy with a target price of 1,600p.

even. Shows some confidence.
Far from the madding crowd and I'm lovin' it.
Looked like there would be a nice spike this morning when it held at just under £11 all of yesterday afternoon.
Sold.
Happy with that.
Wouldn't be surprised if this gets back to 1200 next week.
Directors bought at over 1200 THIS MONTH.
Do you now, as CCC are up more than 50% over the same period.
Has anyone received the tender offer from their broker yet? I haven't but i thought i would have by now.
Agreed.This is a 15 share
Spot on,my thoughts to.I honestly think this is a 15 share in time.
I feel like the only reason a firm would want a share buyback is if they believe the price of their stock will rise in the future. I also feel like the reason they said about the costs in 2018 holding back the probability in 2018, was mainly to prevent an increase in share price that would be over their original share buy back range (1170-1260). Thoughts anyone?
This offer seems to be complicated. Am I right in thinking if I tender to sell my shares at 1260 at best i will get 1260 per share and at worst if my tender is too high i will retain my current CCC share holding? Most grateful for any advice. Thank you
