Nobody's " trapped " that's basher speak. GL Bye
Yes office manager I understand, they have some interesting ideas. After reading this BB since Monday it's been quite the experience which has resulted in many PIs becoming trapped. May consider looking at this again in 6 months. GL.
Applefromthetree, BRH is not all about Paraytec or Covid 19 see https://braveheartgroup.co.uk/investments/ hope that helps.
Few questions casper, how much do the analizers cost? How many factory will be needed to make the 1000's units required, what is the lead time, what is the cost per unit? How do you know AVCT lft is poor when the results are not out? 40000 people waving around cotton buds is this safe during a pandemic? Far better idea which is most likely going to happen, get super sensitive LFT with results uploaded to app in advance so infected people don't make it anywhere near the event. Lots of presumption in your post can see your 'selling' your investment but I think your way off reality. Not saying there's no place for this test maybe in a year or so, it's fascinating to watch the rampers at work.
I am not a scientist or mathematician...i will try any way...correct me if i am wrong
Lets assume avct LFT test is used at a football stadium 40000 fans = 40000 tests, each test costs lets say £5 = £200k
now we all know these LFT tests are not reliable, hence in most cases in upcoming school testing...once a child is tested +ve at school using LFT TEST,the child is sent home...and thereafter they have to rebook the test and do PCR TEST to confirm that they indeed are +ve,sensitivity here is the issue with LFT tests..anyhow..avct tests..will cost £200k at £5 a go..now the question is how many staff will be required to monitor all of these 40k TESTS? lets say,100 terminals 400 fans go through each terminal at 10min wait/result time that equates to 66hrs to get through 1 gate, obviously 100 terminals will be working in parallel so in end if all tests are supervised you will need 66hrs to get through, from fan 1 to fan 100 This is AVCT test at £5 per test 10mins per test which is not that accurate in total £200k spent time consumed 66hrs...not practical imo...unless more staff are employed
NOW lets look at what PARAYTEC test, same numbers...i.e 40000 fans
Firstly with our 2min test there wont be any risk attached results should be better than gold standard PCR tests...meaning more ACCURATE/SENSITIVE
matrix of 20 x 50 = 1000 = 40 devices needed for 40000 fans
crucial thing with our test is....when samples are given they dont have to be on SPECIAL kit as that sample kit wont be testing...this sample kit could be a standard COTTON bud...each bud costing around lets say 2p ( this is very very high in my view ) now at the gates.....u have social distancing each fan comes in give swab sample/saliva/bud to staff...takes less then 20secs....sample is put straight in device slot with allocated number...and fan goes and self distance in que inside
each device can have 2 gates..one to the left and one to the right staff from left/right handside gates put samples in one device....so in practise u have 500 fans going through each gate... 500 x 20 secs = approx 3 hrs to get through one device ( 2 gates ) others devices worked in parallel
This method 80 staff needed...2 for each device....time taken for results....= 3hrs + 2mins for test to be completed...all those who are positive will be pickedimmediately and sent home...maybe they will be able to see results on big screen..
Now costs for us will be 40000 cotton buds =£800 at 2p each.....because matric = 20 x 50 we only need 70 test kits for each device ...again lets assume these are at £5 same as avct...70 x £5 = £350 x 40 devices = £14k total = £14800...
now cost of each device lets say..this is at £5000 each ( reasonable me thinks ) x 40 = £200k ......overall total comes to £215k just £15k more than avct but remember..TEST devices will be used again and again...only paying large sum for device once..
Well i gave it a TRY..maybe someone can IMPROVE on this
