Very much doubt this could happen due to the Cuban Embargo. More likely a dirty carrier would make out for El Salvador et al and then drop off to Cuba which is the usual pattern.
Problem USA has is the large Cuban ex-pat community which fled Castro waiting in the wings to reclaim seized Cuban assets and there is a lot of bad blood there to keep the Republicans from reducing the embargo.
I think as and when Cuba gets hit by Covid we will see USA stepping in to help and that could be the start of something beautiful. The two foes may get back on track and come in from the cold.
The Orange Anti-Christ would probably like to say he brought Cuba in from the cold as well as North Korea - well if that ever actually happens?? BUT IF HE DOES - WE GOT A PIPELINE BOYS!!
Fair point Star
Once a tanker picks up the refined Bahamas oil though its in essence free of any Cuban taint, ways and means, if its cost effective for all im sure a way through could be found.
Its an early days potential solution before BG get their own refinery and infrastructure built is all, otherwise an FPSO solution and tankers offtake direct from that, but they do cost $800m....
Valid point Tiburn and it makes perfect logical sense to connect a pipe to Cuba , however I doubt eventual farm-in partner will want to do this if they have any connections with the USA for trade. Every major and super major does. Otherwise the US Gov will use a two Ronnies saying...'It's a goodbye from me and goodbye from him'.
BPC drill close much closer to Cuba than Bahamas.
Pipeline to Cuba subsea then hook into the existing land pipeline network to the main refinery in Camilo Cienfuegos east of Havana? Cuba has all the infrastructure built already, could be more cost effective short term in BPC field development and gain earlier revenue for BG, Cuba would like the offtake handling fee aswell.

Interesting article below from 2017 when Cuba was touting for investment to exploit its onshore and offshore oil prospects. In waters similar to BPC's planned well, the author believies it would cost between $20-$35/boe to extract. I'm not sure if this includes capital provision for infrastructre as part of the amoratised cost per barrel as I havn't done a deep dive (because I am not a total nerd). Even though labor costs would be higher for BPC compared to Cuba, I don't think this is a major cost factor in manning a producing well. Bottom line: BPC/BG could make a decent profit even at $50 POO, although what happens in 5 years is impossible to predict. see https://www.researchgate.net/publication/313790584_Cuba's_Oil_Due_for_Development
