Good find, sounds promising. But many of the previous statements and acquisitions from box have sounded promising as well. What's seems to be different in this move is that his allocation of shares in lieu of payment is conditional on earnings being brought in to the company. No shareholder ever wants to see dilution, but in this case box is practically worthless at the moment, so its a win-win situation if he can drive the sales and get money coming in.
Old article but sounds like Mr Harris was in demand... WAR IN THE FOREX COMMUNITY as Baydonhill, the AIM-listed Knightsbridge currency provider, has poached Mark Harris, Travelex's top salesman and his team. It's a blow to Travelex as Harris's unit was responsible for for the lion's share of its corporate forex business. Why the switch? It looks like private equity is to blame -- Harris says its owner, Apax, has moved the culture of the place "from being client-focused to one that stifles talent". Ouch.
Next ceo? Mark has significant sales experience, principally in FX companies such Travelex and Baydonhill (which was sold to Earthport PLC) and more recently has held a successful career consulting to several fintech and payments companies. It is expected that Mark will take up a senior executive role driving sales across the Company in due course.
Has to be a big buy order if thats the case. With all the selling in recent weeks (months) you would think the mms had plenty.
Haven’t tried buying, but very strange. A big order being filled or no one selling at this price and mms have no stock? Either way strange the price isn’t moving much. Trading update was a bit of a surprise, most had probably given up on seeing an update.
Very strange if true, i cant do a dummy trade as no spare funds in account atm. Mixed feelings on rns. Looks like 2017 will be another flat year, break even maybe tiny profit. The FX sounds promising and i will be very happy if Martin Harris delivers 1m ebitda from it. I feel the market is reserving judgement at the moment as last few promising updates have so far failed to deliver. Good to see some HVTS have processed and will be added to revenues FOR feb/march but wont be reflected until HY 2018. From memory box take 0.5% of transactions. If they can get HVTS and FX rocking, then the potential is huge for a 2m mcap company, have to wait and see.
Back to this share, want to make some money .... at all time low , has income , huge potential , will not be at this price for long. Just needs to be noticed
The market is so slow. Everywhere you look, MM’s must be sat back congratulating themselves for totally messing up AIM.
News was good They have income and now with a share price at a low have become the bargin of the day .... without the help of twitter
The big seller has killed the SP here selling millions of shares virtually daily for months. I was expecting bad news because of that, but apparently from todays news, its not bad at all. Makes no sense for them to keep selling now at close to record lows.
Looks like good news. Not amazing figures mentioned, and this 9 figure sum box are supposed to have been processing for 9 months is all a bit of a mystery. But the business is still running, money is coming in, and a new person has been bought on board in Mark Harris. Its encouraging that the share based payment to him for his services is conditional on money actually being made for BOX. And 13% of a company currently worth 2m in return for bringing in 1m earnings over the next year doesn't seem so bad. Also good news that Philite has paid some of the money owed.
100% today could happen easily And market cap will only be £3 mil With profits potentially over £1 and cash still a long way to go to fair value.
Agreed, surprised this isn’t flying. So much for so little
Well and truly under the radar. Superb potential to multi bag Very low m/c and huge turnover Making money too
"Mark has significant sales experience, principally in FX companies such Travelex and Baydonhill (which was sold to Earthport PLC) and more recently has held a successful career consulting to several fintech and payments companies. 9 figure sum is minimum of 100 million and they've already done a few over 10 million.Whats the comission they charge?
News at last! Overall a positive outlook. Market Access Limited added to portfolio "to operate a foreign exchange and treasury services business, which commenced trading on 19 March 2018. The Company is operated by Mark Harris who brings a great deal of experience in FX." "Since the Chairman's statement in October 2017, combined revenues in Emexpay and Emexgo for the period October 2017 to January 2018 has averaged 120K per month. The Company expects improvement on this as the High Value Transfer Service starts to gain traction. While there have been some successful transactions to date, these have been at the relatively lower category, being just over the 10m threshold, with revenue falling into February/March. The large nine figure transaction referred to previously in the announcement of 28 July 2017 is still live but also presents challenges for some of our banking partners with whom we continue to work closely." https://www.investegate.co.uk/boxhill-tech-plc--box-/rns/trading-statement/201803280700041509J/
Year end 31st jan, so audited accounts required to be published by 31st July. Box have given trading updates in previous years shortly after the year end, so the absence of an update this year doesn’t look promising, which is of course reflected in the sp and mcap
Last year they were released in July and interims were released on last possible day so I'm not expecting results imminently
Guess that means they are ready to be released....but that was..... 10 days ago.
I phoned BOX 10 days ago and was told the results were with NOMAD.
Anyone know when the next results are due? At this valuation its almost a shell!
Looks like sells are heavily outweighing buys, but the SP is creeping up. Another large buy going through in the background?
Not sure for how long though as hey close online trading down quickly with any buys
Bad news priced in so upside should be good with some positive vibes
