Thanks very much for the link jupiternmars. I have been involved in risk managing the industry for a number of years and am a believer in this Company. All that was said in the video stacks up as far as I am concerned. I am a long term investor - i.e. years not months.
Anybody know what's going on?

Looks more interesting I think Matt
We now have 2 of the wealthiest families in Norway invested in our company - both have extensive and apparently successful interests in aquaculture sector
Intriguing
'Show me' rather than concept investors you would think
No sooner asked, than answered - it's Kverna Finans, a seafood focused asset manager

Market might be dispaointed that it's not an acquirer....
So Woodford has sold, but who has bought the stake?? Has it been placed with a number of investors, or just one? Be interesting to find out.
chrismar - a number of reasons
- removal of stock overhang
- Genuine confidence from a large investor to take sucjh a stake
- Could even herald some corporate/takeover activity.
Here's hoping - this has been such a dog!
Is that the reason for the c. 15% rise? Because there are now fewer shares less likely to be sold and therefore the price was being held back effectively holding it?
this should recover well over the next few weeks and months now that over 11% of the stock has been shifted in one trade.
we can wait for the TR-1 but it has to be Woodford (who held just over 12% according to the BMK website).
It already has a substantial Norwegian investor in Ferd. It'll be interesting to see who has bought this stake - another Scandi? BMK successfully raised debt in the Scandi market very recently.
It's a really strong business, exposed to structural trends in the global demand for fish and shrimp.
Following Benchmark's 2018 full year results we interviewed? Malcolm Pye CEO, Alex Raeber CSO and Mark Plampin FD on the progress made and the group's prospects.

Yep, you got the seller right. Well done....at least the buyer, Ferd, gives us all confidence.
...as Woodford. What a numpty!
What do you mean 'it was a buy'?? Someone had to sell it to them, hence, like all transactions, it's simultaneously a buy and a sell. Assume we will see another RNS on the seller before too long.
If Ferd take on another 7%, theywill be required to bid for the rest of the Company
well under the ask RNS out for it holding 26%
Smells like a buyout
nah! more likely a partial sell-down by invesco....there have been lots of management changes in various UK funds at Invesco and new managers quite often chuck-out legacy stuff they inherit. sometimes because they don't like it but more often because there's stuff they do want to buy and they need to sell kit to get the cash in to do so....
interesting to see if FERD have taken more stock....having a smart norgewgian family office keen to buy right up to 100p gives me a lot of confidence here. norwegians have faults but they know their fish....!
Nearly 9% of the Company-interesting. Woodford throwing in the towel..?
which one was yours though.lol.
Shares sold in three trades
40 mill trade just there?
...and again. Momentum does seem to be there, and they appear very keen (desperate...?) to tell us about it!! Stock price up, but not hugely.
Seem to be getting some decent momentum in revenues and EBITDA now, but this needs to continue - after all the stock is still on 20x ebitda, and nearer 40x PE, but at least we seem to be making proper progress. Expect this to drift upwards on this news over the rest of the year.
you've just got to wait....it's in a no-man's land at the moment. it's owned by clever, long-term-focused concept/innovation investors like Lansdowne and Woodford, but it hasn't yet got the top-line growth or the ebitda growth that the more conventional growth investors need before buying. There's going to be a set of results in the next year, if all keeps on going well, which will allow the conventional guys to buy it and then it will re-rate very sharply (and/or it will be taken-out by someone like Bayer)...I'm waiting for it to go up 3 or 4x before considering my next move.
Are these guys doing anything? Is there any future potential? Im thinking of pulling out?
Input please
