nav now about £110m, so at 25p it's just a little below the new book value. But in the end we do need some kind of ROE for this thing to go up. Looks like it's gonna be another sad day.....:-(
The RNS reads like a begging letter to any potential buyers of the company .
The reason for working is to make money. BM and his crew can spout as much waffle as they like, but at the end of the day all they seem to be doing is running a self indulgent experiment that seems to be going nowhere.
Decidedly underwhelming. Not even a suggestion about when we might move back into profitability/ My guess is a significant short increase to push the price down further, courtesy of JPMorganAssets. This certainly isn't going to fly based on any news just given/ All IMO.
It is not until 10.30 this time.
I was browsing Samsonite website this morning and this message appeared the top. All very confusing as to where this is leading. I was using Safari on a Mac. Shroder, that's vey significant.. Not sure if others missed that like I did inititally, but your being informed by blinkx that Tosca and RG both spend material time at their offices doing DD provides a lot of comfort. Presumably they were either not made "insiders" prior to buying in, or they were given a lot of vital inside info before investing, butdidnt then trade on that inside knowledge until a period of time lapsed, we'd usualky suggest 3 months, or announcements made them no longer in posession of inside only information.. Either way, it is not common for iis to be given such access to a company.. A few meetings here or there sure, especially with house broker guiding the process but to be in effect given access over full days is more what you'd expect when courting a cornerstone investor for a capital raise or in friendly m&a.. Very intersting shroder.. Let's hope Tosca have a goal here beyond buy and hold up to 26% of thestock.. Feels like there is more activity on the horizon.. Hopefully soon
Shroder I was not aware you were in contact with Dan S previously? The Zenovia deal, wow if it's what you say it is it certainly does show that conceptual planning for the future was always a key element. I suppose if there was never any future road map in place the attack from Ben Edelman would have completely destroyed and obliterated a lesser and more unready competitor. I suppose once you stand back and really start to think about it.....imagine trying to rewrite a whole new road map for a business after an attack that was hard to defend. It just could not have been done IMO. BLNX have shown great tenacity and durability to carry on with thier road map and as some of you say Tosca and RG certainly do not appear to be village idiots? As to where the road goes I hope BLNX are on track, just like 5 years ago when the sp went from 12 to 90p in a matter of months because they were written off. I missed that opportunity so hope to catch this wave. I don't know much about the tech industry apart from what I read and what people share on some threads. But I do know that a company valued at £105 million with 50% of that amount in the bank does not appear to be a gamble. If you take the humouros point of view and bear with me. Tosca and RG actually own 37% or there abouts of that £52 million in the bank theoretically, of coursebut never the less they own it in a fashion. I suppose the point I'm trying to make is that every share they buy at say 25p theoretically is costing them 12.5p? I know it made my head spin a little today as i was trying to see where a real win, win situation may occur for major shareholders or us too, you see we too at today's levels are also paying in reality only 12.5p a share should we chose to buy or purchase or simply hold. Have a good weekend all. Here's to hope and a brighter future!
LOL- I hope so too guys! lets face it, IF the Tosca RG gang indeed prove to have got this one wrong we are ALL well and truly Mated ! BUT somehow I just dont think so!(IMHO)
Me too.
I bloody hope so.
Spot on !Shroder! Either Tosca, RG and other big holders are bigger fools than we give them credit for OR they have indeed spotted THE GAP between THE REAL value and the current market valuation of Blinkx., Let’s face it, that’s why they are in business for and that’s how they have repeatedly accumulated millions of pounds in profit . Llaws of probability based on proven track record and past performance tells me that they are NO FOOLS!!
Was just curious to see how many Posters here are currently still averaging down on the dips where they can? The flip side of the current situation e.g. SP being manipulated and held back is that it does provide the opportunity for us Pis to play Tosca/ MM own game and take advantage of lower SP and average down whilst we can. Of course NOT everyone can or wants to average down . I guess the main prerequisite would be that you are a BELIVER in Blinkx's future AND still have a few quid to gamble with!?
It's in the name as always he is pathetic
Made no impact when they recommended it unlikely to have much impact when they don't. In my humble opinion no different to share piglets. Oops might have got that name wrong.
"not hopeful for 2016" Great. Thank you Motley. Blinkx Last year, internet advertising firm Blinkx (LSE: BLNX) made a loss of $20.8m on sales of $215m. During the first half of the current year, Blinkx expects to lose $7m on sales of $90m. A return to profit is expected next year, but even the company’s own broker only expects earnings of around 2 cents per share, which puts Blinkx stock on a forecast P/E of around 20. Of course, one point in Blinkx’s favour is that it still has plenty of cash. At the end of September, cash and cash equivalents totalled $82m. This also helps to support the valuation for Blinkx shares. Almost half of the company’s share price is covered by net cash. My concern is that this cash may not benefit shareholders. Blinkx doesn’t pay a dividend and is likely to continue to spend its cash until it either runs out, or manages to turn a profit. The rise of ad blockers and other such software seems likely to make it harder for Blinkx to make money. I’m not hopeful of big gains in 2016.
next week, yes, hopefully we might see some light at the end of this very dark tunnel. P.s. My spirits have been lifted and I'm very OPTImistic about the long term prospects of a new share on the AIM I've recently purchased. Can't give any more clues, but in the top ten risers! Not ramping, please, as usual, DYOR, but I've made a cracking profit already which covers my losses here. Definitely not ramping new share but just trying to point folk towards a share that's holdings its own & increasing daily. Anyhow, please DYOR & I wish us all good luck, we need some on this casino called AIM and we're definitely overdue some good fortune! Night folks & GLA
Shroder if we witness any other party wishing not to miss out on Tosca's potential gold mine? I still find it strange that men and women of superior intellect with the same slide rule fail to capitulate or recognise that BLNX is only £104 million to acquire and has £52 million in the bank! Millions and millions more spent on acquiring technology media and propriety technology at what was a bargain price to boot in the future time scale. I often wonder why BLNX is so unloved at present, but I still feel that some if the S##T young Mr Edelman threw stuck onto the front page and we have had to swallow large amounts ever since. Let's hope Blinkx comes up like a majestic submarine just trying to recharge its batteries rather than a pearl diver gasping for every last drop of air? Good night all.
Lundon79 I understand your frustration as with many of the long termers and shareholders regarding the green shoots of recovery. I suppose previous guidance and debateable lack of response and gusto from the BOD may be questionable, so I can err towards your frustrations of the past. Shroder! Great posts and I was not aware that you actually were communicating with the company or that they were effectively communicating back to your person. I'm not quite sure how the new Quantcast works but as far as my understanding goes, they Quantcast are working towards encountering all mobile information into their new reports as we are all aware that desk top apart from commercial revenues is dying or if not already dead and will continue to dramatically disappear as mobile and then Smart TV viewers integrate into a growing Eco system. If Quantcast is pursuing this dynamic reporting consolidation, they too may occur some growing pains and have to eke out a few more skew whiff algorithms before they can make there vision viable to the wider commercial markets. I'm not an expert in this sort of thing so can only read between the lines. Hopeful that we may see a more rounded and positive approach to the many spring boards that seem to be appearing? It would be great to see Brian and the Team really be confident about the future, backed up of course with a piece of juicy meat as apposed to the knarly bones we have had to crunch of late.
Should read Sharing the info with us all
Much appreciated all the hard work you've put in and sharing the info was th us all. Good luck
Lets face it, if numbers are dire , then there really is not much hope for the future and I don't see a way forward. Fingers crossed that they are not .
HT, either the Quantcast numbers are indeed a very good indicator of performance (let's not rorget Bm directed us there) and track quite accurately our monetising opportunity, which would make sense given the strength in impressions seen around time dataxu was integrated.. (And which then subsequently collapsed).. Or alternatively it means nothing and it's a redherring.. Pretty binary Id say.. My hunch is it's closer to former than the latter, and I am nervous, very nervous, and think it unlikely we'll see a +ve update but will gladly eat my words if we do, and we can all enjoy a surge in sp.. Long overdue!
we have had a number of posters pop up over last two years hyping up positive indicators and then ignoring the inconvenient negatives.. So I am just worn down by any reasoning that seems to head along those lines.. But absolutely, I as Im sure all do on here, appreciate informative posts like yours appears to be.. So I gather from what you have said that you have been in contact with the company and they suggested the tagging is still being completed..? Is that fair comment? Would be interesting to understand what proportion is not yet caught in the quantcast numbers.. This is actually pretty significant for determining our potential revenue.. BM always refers to our opportunity and how we seize only a small %. So if that opprtunity is higher than we are being shown by qc then great.. Any scoop?
Thanks for posting that Shroder. I noticed there was a significant jump in rest of world views in the last few days. I wonder if this has any relevance and if its possible that we will hear news along with results .
