The agenda driven characters- just sell up and move on ,no one is interested in your continued negative nit picking.
JH...yes I do hence I used the word "production" in my post. I understand we can sell pretty much everything we can produce and as a point I seem to recall we have a contract to supply Integrity 40k/t pm of coal? If so, then production was less than that although I accept any shortfall may have been held in the stock yard. The simple fact is that we need the trains in the numbers AW talks about.
Cheers
Ezzza
BS - as I said 'NS were making repairs and upgrades before Christmas which caused problems for all their users'
Ezzza you do realise these are production numbers not sales numbers.
DropD .. no trains
Well....its a positive increase but as we all now know the trains issue is crucial to the success of BC. Multiply by 4 and we are nowhere near to annual level of production AW talks about to create real profit and value. Shipping coal out by truck is costly too even though the met coal price has risen lately so a negative impact on the bottom line. Cheers Ezzza
Am I correct with these approximate figures regarding Avanis 30% stake in Ben? They paid 18p per share so approx £24m at that time. So today they are currently sitting on a near 50% loss (£12m) I'm sure they will be wanting the sp back up to the mid 20's pretty quickly. If met coal goes up to $300 per ton, what sort of sp should we expect then with the free cash we will be generating? Thanks for any info. Not been following Ben much recently as not got a massive holding here although I'm seriously considering hoovering up all I can at these levels.
A really interesting thread and thanks for the NS links.
AW has do one his bit in communicating confidence as long as met coal price stays up.
Quarterly update on production and delivery could create more evidence of the profitability of the company.
GLA.
Just to reinforce my judgement, I just noticed that someone sold 1, yes fecking ONE share at 9.65p lol
If that isn’t investigated then this market is fecked
It’s simple…
It’s easy by shorters to sew fear about things that BC cannot control… so they make hay…
Especially now that their old excuse ( coal prices) has ruined their party…
They (PRATT )have no where else to go…
And those trying to prop up the shorters are selling 14 shares yes FOURTEEN at 9p trying very hard to destroy the SP and discourage the retail holders… there’s less than 30 trades most days ffs… they’re desperate and rising CP will only make them more desperate.
Re Norfolk Southern BEN do look to be lucky to have them as carriers imo as they look to be a co. that's learnt and acted on the basic mistakes the rail industry makes in laying off workers at the turn of a hat then acting surprised when they have no staff for busy times.
Short term investors aren't happy but reads that BEN's holders will be.
Interesting weekend read imo and makes it harder for those with a little more knowledge to bamboozle.
Jan 2013 Plans to change the way NS is to operate going forwards

Re Trains
It's simple, and not sure why it's not clear, Ben don't own the trains so they have no control over them, I don't own my electric, gas, broadband or water supplier, I use/pay for there services.
Nit picking over nothing
As per the shareholder Q and A Dec 5th
2 trains arrived last week 2 trains are arriving this week with 5th due in December… so 55k shipped…
Results for the next quarter are due any day now and will give us correct numbers…
Its also wise to factor in that we get paid about 50% on order for coal and the balance on delivery so it’s not like there’s no money coming in..
If everyone believed that Ben was shipping train after train of coal and selling it with an increase in coal prices .. the SP would not be 10p
But here we are at the bottom
BS - the fact that neither BEN nor any other coal producer controls the NS trains doesn't mean they're not coming. It's how NS makes their money so why wouldn't they provide as many as BEN needs all else being equal. NS were making repairs and upgrades before Christmas which caused problems for all their users. AW said they are complete so there should not be a problem now. Just regurgitating what mouthy people say elsewhere isn't helpful.
Agreed Panman,
I asked a couple of weeks back that we should be expecting a quarterly update in early Jan, so Im glad to see there are others of us who thought the same.
GLA
That was half the quote yes, looks better with full statement though imho.
"This period saw a 125% increase in trains despatched, however there is a reliance on Norfolk Southern ("NS") to provide trains in a timely manner, which is completely out of our control."
They had a half 1 production update 4th Oct if they're moving to quarterly's then we may know more next week?
I thought it was general knowledge that Ben are not getting the trains they requested
“there is a reliance on Norfolk Southern ("NS") to provide trains in a timely manner, which is completely out of our control.”
Quote from AW last RNS
Last interview Adam spoke of putting out quarterly updates (1 min) and of having 2 trains a week (11 mins ish)for the last three weeks so hopefully next quarterly will show more deliveries.
https://audioboom.com/posts/8415491-midweek-takeaway-featuring-adam-wilson-ceo-of-bens-creek-aim-ben-ben
He also mentions around 12 mins in that railways are struggling to bring in more than 7 trains/month?? which seems a fine no. for BEN and its holder.
Why are you suggesting trains aren't running?
We need trains to take the coal to port to be able to sell it. Met coal can go to $500. Makes no difference when it’s sat on the creek doing nothing.
Aussie coking coal looks to be breaking out again, or having a good go at it.

Hopefully will drag the platts up a touch more too.
Agree the Mkt Cap is a litle crazy however imho theres still a large seller and shorters in this narket.
Well I've just added some more. This market cap is silly now. Let's hope met coal price keeps inching up and we will be in for a good year!
£33M Margin per annum against a MKT Cap of £39M @ $256 M Met Coal B
