Avocet's board withdraws resolution to put company into liquidation.
What's going on here? Is Elliot going to resurrect this zombie company? Is this the reason for the sudden spike in share price at the start of the year? What new investment opportunity is on the cards? And where is the possible funding coming from?
Something fishy going on!!!

write off for me now DJ. Held here for ages and taken some healthy profits over the years; even paid a divi for a while. I'm intrigued to know how they got this dead cat to bounce into the 20p's a few months back - PIs always the last to know
Avocet is dead - what a fall from grace! Any crumbs left for the shareholders?

What next for Avocet after sale of interest in Tri-K?
Will company be wound up? Or announce some new venture? Elliot will be happy to get some of their cash back for sure!

just did a back of envelope tally up since 18th feb and theres 3 times more buys than sells by volume (difficult to mis-record them because of the spread) but during this time the price has been dropped a good 25%. Although the co is still ''dead man walking'' there's been some fairly serious money put in here - and by my reckoning its still here.
Any guesses anybody?

Just had a look at record and see a share consolation 10 June 2016 .
obscures record of when i first bought in years before .
Only worth about £100 now but a good rise from £25 few days back lol
Yes no news but up a further 45 % maybe pi should stay clear of AIM its not a level playing ?
Some comments on ADVFN that seems a better info site.
Not in just interested as to why it’s gone up so much. Can’t pay its debts looking to get broken up and no return to shareholders?

£23.8k buy time tag 8.47 , price 28.4p has to be a buy. They either know something I don't or they've got more money than sense.

remember the story Richard Branson buying emi for a tiny sum of a £1 and sold for millions or something along those lines
this isn't about share price metrics its about assets against debt value the mcap share price is essentially zero shareholders are irrelevant its about debt value attributed to assets.

They said in Oct funds would only last 12 months as long as they did not have to pay elliot loan ( largest share holder )
It dropped to 9p on that news then went lower .
Hit 20p midday.

Don't they have to release an rns to explain this kind of sharp rise - 'speeding ticket'?.
Lots of A trades on the buys, something dodgy going on.
Just looking back over this - made a fair bit of money trading and top slicing and there was a dividend at 4.2p per share back in 2012. I've got a sell note from 2011 when they were £2.59. But I'm pretty sure the shares were diluted somehow when things started going pear shaped.
Anyway just be careful you can get out quick if you are going in because this company has been running on empty for a while now
shudda topped up?

any ideas anybody? I've still got some of these, only because they're worth so little that I couldn't be bothered to sell. Now it seems they are my best performer this year. I cant see anything new. Enough loaned money to keep going for a few months but then has to be wound up?
Yeah weird innit

The answer is clear now, UT was sold this morning for £200 profit ! !
I agree, weird.
Could be traders who haven't bothered checking the facts.
At pretty much mid price - weird one when this stock is dead. Any explanations?

Are people buying this? Something we don't know?
no chance. another AIM poorly run company that will leave shareholders with heavy losses. B.Faso has had some issues in the last few years but the gold is in the ground and the gold price is still pretty healthy. i have been on site an saw the potential of this share
. what a shame. GLA
Will the directors get taken to court over this?
