lol, added, but smallish and somewhat nervously…
that has wiped out a few stop-losses - good to eliminate margin traders
cannot believe its below £4 as the economy heads for record growth this year. Adding a few £k
Pre-covid mine were worth £12. But that was last century.
pre covid my shares were worth over £5-00
LGEN and Aviva number's 19 and 20 in today's Losers chart. The Pru number 1 with a massive 4.39%
Not just in a trading range-in a time warp as well!!
Aviva seems to be stuck in the same trading range as it was pre covid
Thinking of selling up and swinging into a swing play on AMC share, pushing for a short squeeze. Fundamentals looks promising for a strong squeeze.
Any thoughts?
Wouldn't trust bloomberg for love nor money!
& again.
I'm not sure it has £8 in it. Unless the margins improve I am starting to see a saturation point with the margin.
As an aside, anyone else here hold LGEN? The divi is well covered but not a stock to day trade, that's for sure. All my holdings are in the red, but the paper loss is still more than covered by the div, even though the next one is less than 5p.
Cevian Capital "believes that within three years Aviva should have a share price of more than £8 per share and be paying a dividend of 45p or double the current payout".
It's certainly attractive, if so, but nearly always wary of b/s. May give it thought if the general p/f continues as it has done during H1. Would be interesting to get some comments here.
meanwhile,

500p by dec 2022 would be fine by me.
(still, many a slip ‘twixt cup & lip, etc.)
Porche, I'm a bit of both. There is growth in this stock, once all the asset stripping is complete. I wouldn't like to say at what rate, or a high figure...but I'll be done by 500p, as then the dividend yield will not be worth keeping.
I'm hoping that the special is exactly that, but we shall see soon enough.
Morris minor 76. You ok Hun. Need a hug.
Terminal dross, even Cevian can’t get this much above 4 quid. Dire, like the rest of the most hated dogsxxt index of the world, ftse 100 in brexit covid basket case capital. Buy tech in the USA, flying and usd protection against hopless sterling. Buy growth not dividends.
added.
Never a fan of the buyback and don’t see any real benefit for the pi. As for the special Divi it looks good on paper but it takes a share with a bit of bounce to recover. I’m not sure if Aviva has any boing?
i hold aviva shares ...re special dividend...i hope it pans out better the one on my tesco shares....
You can reinvest any divi without it affecting your 20k allowance.
We should get a special divi and a considerable amount of buybacks
Not sure which one is best a buyback or a special dividend.Does anyone know if the shares are held in an ISA can the proceeds be re invested or would that be considered as contributing more than the £20 pa max in one year?
I'm hoping for at 50p per share special dividend, paid early 22
Are you shares in an ISA account. You can invest up to 20k a year in shares ISA. So over 5yrs you would have 100k invested.I am led to believe any divis paid in an ISA are tax free. Have you got a share ISA account or have you maxed up this year.
