A snapshot as at YE does make the SP look a bit bizarre. Not only is it trading below the cash balance, it's well below NAV even after taking into account the outstanding convertible bond and other debt. The results show a NAV of c.$350m or around £225m. Fair enough, it's pretty normal to trade below it, but to have a NAV at a 225% premium to SP must be strange surely. However, when you take into account that they can post annual losses of over $90m (even if they say the bulk of that is 'one-off impairments'), you do have to question how long it would take to eat up those cash reserves (and how many more 'impairments' are out there to devalue the non-cash assets). At this stage, I'd happily take a wind-up and sell off of assets (or a takeover) if that NAV is realistic rather than continue to hope for a platinum price recovery and a return to profitability.
Setting up for a rise….?
Of a solid rise here. Bargain
Out cash balance is $200M so we are looking at £130m. Trading under £100m so my call is a nice rise of about 30% quite easily possible. Platinum prices also looking to move upwards - looking good
This stock trades like an FT100 stock, massive volume & virtually no movement. Too expensive for Pi’s to do these micro trades, yet too small a reward for Pro’s to manually monitor it, bizarre ! It’s a grind to 7p but looks as though we might be getting there. Sector capx reduced, increases the chance of M&A & no new production coming on line. Global manufacturing good & improving, at some point the shorts will be coming off commodities. At present this is being used to replace QE.
plat price up over last week ,,,,china cut rate as well ,,all good ,,,very promising i would say need to be patient here 3 to 6 months at least
Next target
https://www.britishbulls.com/SignalPage.aspx?lang=en&Ticker=AQP.L Do think a merger will be announced in the platinum mining sector - we appear well positioned
Some good buying pressure today ahead of companies financial results on Wednesday - Aquarius Platinum Limited wishes to advise that the company’s FY 2015 Financial Results (to 30 June 2015) will be released on Wednesday 12 August 2015 at the following times: 7am UK, 8am SA, 2pm Perth (WST), 4pm Australia (EST).
yup,,,,, look back at where this price has come from ,just 10% of that move back would be great
something definitely brewing here IMO - this could rise very fast
depth bias on L2 ,,,market is forward thinking ,and plat looks to have starting forming an inverted head shoulders after bottoming lately ,,,we shall see if this proves correct ,,,,,as no volume could see this gain quick ,
interesting to see today's rise with a few chunky buys coming in this morning
Target I would think and consolidation in the platinum market will see us above 15p
Balance reported last week at $205m
bolocks. net cash $70m
Would be at a very reasonable 300-350M - lets see how this story unfolds. We are the 4th biggest producer and I can certainly see some consolidation in the sector. Bargain is you ask me with a £135M in the bank we are trading below cash value, let alone asset base!
CNAC to reappear with full bid for AQP if the share price does not begin to rise soon. Just a hunch as they tried to buy AQP Blue Ridge last year; easier to buy the group as a whole now.
Being filled again......this may well be the last opportunity to buy at these depressed levels
Another explanation is Market Makers selling stock short throughout the day & the practice of double up selling-short-to-cover at the days high, which was end of day & the volume involved would drive the sp back down. This is the problem with AIM stocks.
fake out on plat chart from a triangle ,,broke down then reversed back inside then up out ,,,,at present anyhow as allways we shall see ,,,,,,,,,,,back testing right now ,,,,,,,if plat finishes strong today we may get a gap up monday ??!! have a nice one guys !!
A parabolic move from 6.19 to 6.50. 6p support holding well. Offer now 6.97 & bid 6.27.
The breakout is here......7p finish would be nice
can see what action there would be with dollar weakness L2 went bonkers just then !!!!
Deffo buy ,commodities set to bounce soon
