Not long until results day
On the right track now
I got this very wrong with an average of
140, so half way home as such.
Not sure we will see £4 again, but I’d take
£2 in a few years .. feels like admin is off the table for the time being so I’m glad of that
it depends when you buy in and exit - ie cpp 97p in November 2022; 217p in February 2023;
Current price looks very cheap. When you consider that the rise is also based on the cost saving matters implemented by the company the should be more to be had.
Looking positive
Looking good only 80% more to break even, Could never make 80% on a stock but very easy to loose, glad it is only a small holding as I'm running out of patience
If my experience with AO is anything the share price will never get back to where it was. I can go to most places and buy goods with my purchase card. AO want me to submit my bank statement before they will fulfill an order. Guess what? they lost a sale. They will also lose a shareholder.
...and down again too!
Disappointing share price reaction to what is a decent trading update, at least as regards cost-cutting.
The revenue side is inevitably a bit depressed, but that has as much to do with the focus on profitable sales than any cost of living pressures.
oh good this stock does go up sometimes too :)
Just another £1.50 to break even!!
Profit forecast up by 50%! This is massive!!
a chink of light ??
A couple of weeks back I posted this.
I rarely get things right so pleased I posted the following;
investment companies know more than us investors. This is on its way back, once it breaks 50p its clear blue skies right up until 58p/60p
Definitely one to watch.
lowered its net debt to £18.6mn, from £32.8mn and yearly ebitda to be at the top end of that bracket I guess is what the markets like.
Almost halving debt is certainly a good sign, pre-tax loss tripled to £12mn but seems it would be pretty much no loss if they hadn't used money to pay down the debt which I think (and seems market to) is a good idea given the way the country may be moving the next year or two.
Mind boggles a bit. Still making a loss and predicting tough short-term conditions and yet share price rises. Guessing it was a bit too low and they are getting to grips with costs but still a significant or more probably an unexciting gamble to bet on this horse currently.
I personally do not expect this to go anywhere for a longish time to come but still believe the model beats its competitors. Should bear in mind it is now an established player albeit in a thin-profit game.
Why does buzz says it's "profit" when it is clearly a comprehensive loss of -27.2 £m, so for 6 months of this year almost the same as for a whole previous year?
BUZZ-AO World jumps as co sees FY profit at top end of forecast:

Fingers crossed for positive news :)
No they don't, they hope but it's often not materialized, plus they invest someone else money - not necessarily their own.
For AO' even projecting best year profits won't be sufficient to make up valuation (average loss is 11m p/a over last 6 years). Also equity-wise m-cap is inflated approx. 4x times.
... investment companies know more than us investors. This is on its way back, once it breaks 50p its clear blue skies right up until 58p/60p
Definitely one to watch.
This is a very good company with good service levels and I am sure will prosper.I added to my holding today and I am sure my investment will grow.Id believe that this share is undervalued and think this has started to be realised and this company could be a takeover target in the near future as it would be a cheap purchase to get into the market
Interesting TR1’s today
We have three TR1’s today.
JP Morgan appears from nowhere with 3.86% but I note they crossed a threshold on 25th August and notified us on 30th August and we let you know four days later!
Also, today we are informed that JP Morgan have increased from 3.86% to 4.06% and they increased on the 30th of August and informed the Company on 1st September, but we are only informed today three days later, why?
Watch what happens next.
RKB
PS Our larger shareholder Odey Asset Management increased to 11.92% on 30th August and informed our Company on 31st August but we are only updated today four days later!
Hopefully it is here to stay! Long overdue!
