Surely if they did they’d have to pay NAV to the current shareholders? Not sure they’ve got the cash for that. Besides they’ve got the other company (Agrarian?) that is for private equity investors
Please tell me there's no danger of them taking this company private
I'll get more committed when scale up trials are completed successfully and a material supply contract or license is in the bag, without regulator intervention. I see the Australian government requires 5 years of safety trials in bulk with all product destroyed for anything considered GMO in this space. US probably more comfortable with it.
I have not added since November 22, and I'm nursing big loses here. But I think it is the time and the price to increase my position once the new ISA allowance is opened for the next financial year.
What a great start to April. This does give me more confidence in buying more shares for sure. :)
RNS good news and underpins ongoing gov financial support for the tech which minimises dilution. May add a few whilst the price is so miserable.

Just a quick message and time lapse of some progress at liberation labs. I consider this to be one of the ace cards in the anic portfolio so this is exciting to see!!!
Des I agree with your analysis. However I'm hoping that having sourced a chunk of grant funding to pilot test some may be able to do it again on the back of early success/supply contracts or at least some low interest government program. Just wishful thinking. I'm in low so happy to bottom draw it for 12 months if the fund needs to hang on to cash.
Feel embarrassed I haven't been following the wider macro issue. Had no idea that this became such a contentious culture war issue in the States. Completely explains the SP right now.
Times have a piece out now covering what's happening.
I love the idea here but the current financial climate for small pre revenue biotech companies is extremely tough.
ANIC needs considerably more cash to continue investing in follow on funding rounds, even to maintain current equity positions in portfolio CO’s, and exploring new investments.
With the share price miserably low a large raise risks huge dilution to holders, and would negatively skew/inflate the mcap. Instead, the company appears to be sitting on its hands hoping the tide turns, losing out on vital %s as these early portfolio companies make progress.
Catch22! Waiting until they improve their balance sheet before taking a sizeable position AIMO
Only a few hours to go.
I expect an RNS on April 1st to keep us informed.
April fool??🤠
@100Cups
Givent that the NAV was calculated in a somehow accurate ballpark. Whatever this means in the case of Agronomics which holds multiple underlying non profitable companies is another story.
I would love to see a new companies other than KMPG reviewing the books. Just to get some new eyes on the price.
Considering this I'm not so sure whether we are 50% below intrinsic value. If it would be that easy than everybody would buy.
As far as I know this is how it works. Transactions are recorded and automatically assessed as a buy or sell. ie if the indicative buy price is 8.70p and the transaction is the same or close then shows as a buy. If the sell price is 8.60p and the transaction is concluded at say 8.65p the system is unable to make a sensible 'guess' hence labelled unknown.
Often happens when the bid/off spread is small. Also many transactions are shown incorrectly. For example my broker makes there own market as often as they can and often offers a fixed price that is better than the indicative price. The transaction is recorded using which buy /sell price it is closest to. Today for example a buy I made showed as a sell. Therefore the transaction prices we see at best are a guide.
Can someone explain to me what are all these big unknown trades? are these part of the buyback program?
The price didn't move much anyway...
Hitting record lows today. Seems crazy when the NAV was 16.48 last September - means its currently trading at a 50% discount.
Ahhhh my bad....
Re. The post suggesting Those Vegan Cowboys was sold to Unilever, that's getting a little carried away. The vegetarian butcher was sold to Unilever in 2020 and the 2 guys behind that brand subsequently started Those Vegan Cowboys. This company has nothing to do with Unilever.

Goodness knows! We can only hope that StopAnimalAgri is right at and some point soon the market catches on and the SP pops. The publicity in the main press at the start of the year pushed us up rapidly to 14p. Think what some sustained interest might do!
Lots of good news coming out from our portfolio companies and monetisation is getting closer.
Faux chicken cat food soon to be sold at pets at home.
Yet we are still seeing large sells , such as 1,000,000 at 4.20 yesterday.
Why?
Professor Ben Garrod guest presents.
As a new 'meaty rice' is created and Fortnum & Mason launch a scotch egg made with cultivated meat that they hope to have on sale as early as next year, we investigate the world of laboratory-grown meat.
Mark Post made the first ever synthetic meat in 2012 to the tune of £200,000. He tells us how these lab-grown meats are made and how, he thinks, they could play an important role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and feeding a growing population. Jenny Kleeman, author of Sex, Robots and Vegan Meat, is more sceptical, citing concerns over food security and if the public really want to eat this stuff.
A stingray called Charlotte has become pregnant, despite there being no other stingrays in her tank at the Aquarium & Shark Lab in North Carolina. Marine biologist Dr Helen Scales considers how this may have happened.
And cosmic minerologist Sara Russell from the Natural History Museum tells us how astronomers tracked and found a particularly unusual asteroid entering Earth’s atmosphere and what we might learn from it.

Just read your post, thought “do you know what, you’re right. Heavily undervalued with lots in the pipeline.” Topped up with another 54000. Fingers crossed
I bought 40000 shares last week. I am sure we are undervalued here.
How can the SP be 8.5p, when approx. 3p is cash reserve. That would mean the other 5.5p is for the holdings, crazy!! Can it really be flying under the radar?
Being an eternal optimist and gambler I cant help buying more (small) at every piece of good news.
Surely the good news is only loading the spring and at some point it will not only unload but overshoot its NAV?
As Warren would say, if it looks good and the price is confusingly low. Just buy more!
I'm in for the long haul and the longer the price is low the more value I can pick up with my monthly small buys. Admittedly I want this to succeed for ethical reasons so maybe I'm blinkered OR just maybe!!!
