Twitter is very rarely a place to get investment advice. They normally jump on shares in this position and within a couple of days they will be onto the next best thing. The company don’t need to explain the huge loss as its common knowledge as why it’s dropped so much
They have been in this precarious position for some time. Their biggest asset by far ( which they had been steadily selling ) to cover costs. The basics are they are in such a state. If they sold every holding they have they would still owe around £13m. And they have a £1m mcap. They were banking on Motif multibagging. Even when their largest holding Motif was 40p yesterday. They were still in the position of having huge negative value.
They didn’t think it wise to hedge their position?
I sold 75% yesterday in the 1.8s. Left free shares. Bought motif for the bounce and luckily made a decent profit.
The reason it dropped over 70% is because they were banking on Motif to get positive results today. They own 8% of Motif. Everything was resting on the results. They had £10m of Motif yesterday. Now worth £2.5m. That’s why they dropped. They have over £20m of debt which was secured partly by the Motif shares. They were already in a precarious position before today. Like I said if they sold every investment at current value they would still be negative £13m. They don’t need to say why it dropped
Lol. They owe over £20million.
Don’t suppose AMP had some cash tucked away and averaged down this morning?
If AMP sold all of its investments today at current prices it would have at rough figures Negative £13m.
No amp owes around £25m. Secured with yesterday £10m worth of Motif Shares. Ow worth £2.5m
So if Motif hits 32p. How much are AMPs investments worth.
MTFB shares are secured against their debt facility which is around $3m. 9.53% holding equates to around £3m. Other assets aren’t of too much interest from initial viewing but explains why this isn’t bouncing - unless I’m missing something?
Can't believe this share has not moved after the over reaction to motif. 8% of AMP's holdings nosedive 80% , I make that 6% decline, meanwhile AMP tanks 71%. Anyway just made a killing on Motif and moved some of the proceeds here expect this to get back to about 20p once normal service is resumed.
I’ve quoted the full accounts. And values of our holdings. Unlike yourself who’s only quoted the usual boom crap. I did say that I’ve made most of my money on bounces like this, usually also like I’ve said were not rational to true value. Like this one. I’ve made cash on buying Motif at 5 and selling at 9. 20mins later I could have got 12. But that’s life. Still holding my free amp shares. Your an analyst. What price does motif need to reach before we break even.
What’s your selling price Gilo ?
This is now back to what I bought it for a few weeks ago.
I happy with a small profit. How you doing
What’s the current value of AMP. Gilo ? It’s NAV.
Don’t be left holding the baby. Think most of us have made some decent cash today on the bounce.
There are no waves, AMP seems to be extremely flat whereas MTFB is fighting back strongly! Surely AMP should be slightly reflective on MTFB action.......For what it is worth I believe this is well oversold and maybe should have dropped 20-30% until MTFB find out what it is FDA want not 70-80% drop, very very wrong and that is why we are seeing MTFB recover somewhat today and most likely more tomorrow too, let's hope AMP can do the same!!!
1p here, 20p there and i think I’ll finish up trading for the year. Glad I was proactive this morning.
looking for 0.80 to bounce soon .....look at motif now
yes MotifBio bounce hard ...another fresh round of buy coming will be over 0.65
Without the details ,it’s not feasible to be specific or take a clear view on WN.
As an ex ICI/ Zen. However I’d say just bide your time...it’s steady away. FDA are likely to have solution view, particularly for a long termer drug Iclaprim shows superior position over Vanomyin , hence potential cannot be dismissed. Also most liver impacts are idiosyncratic ( ie not specifically drug impacted).
Amphions other projects are significant also.
Of Biotech sector.
I don't understand one bit. It takes years to get license. And one rejection makes years of hard work crush.
