Expru. Tell me they wouldn’t fit well into iag alongside vuelling and co !!!
Mark - mmmm - never thought of a takeover bid!!!!!! This time last year DTG were £19.50 a share and now about £7.20s. I too have had a refund for flights down to Nice - gotta love the Cote D'Azur : ) - and I didn't even have to ask for it. It just landed back on my credit card!!!
I know they are getting a very favourable reputation for looking after the clients - which is ironic cos we Yorkshire folk have a reputation to keep up!!!!!!!!!!!
: )
Expru. I know they have been around longer than people realise (late 80s if I recall) they used to do freight only under a different name but as the freight side declined they started European tourist stuff and although the freight has probably returned now what with online stuff they stayed with the passenger work. I also know they have been on the ball with the refunds ( better than tui n easyJet ) as my son got his Cyprus refund within the two weeks so better than most! I think people after this is all done with (whenever that may be) will remember the firms that treated customers well and played by the rules Jet2 certainly seem to have thus far. But my bet would be that they end up getting bought by iag or similar
At 12.02 Mark mentioned airlines as a possible investment in the futuure. As a Leeds lad, I am a big fan of DTG, (Jet 2).
They have sold Fowler Welch recently for £98m and have raised £176m recently so there's money in the bank to ride this storm out and they are trying - not as hard as Ryanair - but they are trying to get flying again. Where other airlines are struggling I think this tidy little short/medium haul business will nick routes off other airlines and will grow quicker than anyone else in this sector.
Anyone know anything else about this company????
So why did you post asking here then ? Haha
Yeah i’ve seen the post but if i believed everything i read on BB’s i would be broke lol. That’s why i would rather email myself to confirm
Well I’ve been saying all along I was gonna trim my holding back at 20p to derisk and invest elsewhere .... but .... I’m finding myself this morning after much head scratching asking myself this if/when we reach 20p plus I think it will be fair to say that the majority of the heavy risk will at that point be behind us and given the state the economy and markets are going to be in around Xmas/January is there going to be anything that looks much better or less risky than this? I mean where would I go to ... retail? .... banking ? .... travel, tourism or airlines? Ok you might hit it lucky with an aim biomedical or miner but is that less risky than this?
I’ve just removed my sell order so as it stands right now .... I can’t find anywhere better to put my money !
Just a bedtime story for the Unsettled babas here, think it worked (True story though)
Will Have remember the ship one as we gently rock them to sleep in their cradles for next time :)
Morning Itsa - loved your stirring speach at 25 to 1 this morning - thats what I call dedication!!!!!
You and H : )
We know he started, just takes time for updates.
maybe he’s waiting for his first Post-lockdown Haircut for the school photos on the website.
He’s got better things to worry about instead of a website update, the next RNS (possibly this week if not next week) will have his name on I’m sure.
Companies house - always has delays In one form or another.
Thats it - Toma - or should I say Milanr, has had a communication confirming GC is new CEO defo!!!!
Check out ADVFN - email
Confirmation by a poster ! Roll on next week
Loki - I'm sure Nayan - or one of the board - has e mailed a BB member and confirmed that GC id the new CEO. I've certainly seen the post in the last 24 hours.
Hopefully you’re right, will let you know if and when nayan emails me back
He’s ceo designate I believe there is a period before companies house registration takes place. Happy to be corrected if that’s wrong.
I’m a little concerned that there is no confirmation of Glen joining yet on companies house or the amigo website, yet jonathan roe who joined on 1st august (same day as glen) is listed on companies house as doing so and also on amigo’s website.
I have emailed nayan asking for confirmation, will update you guys and post on twitter any response i get
