Being as we were told last week this would be public this year, I wonder if it will drop before the AGM - could do with something positive for a change.
Am interested to see if officially joining up the deposits will take us to 200mt ore and 2t Ni equivalent and 25 years LOM.
Not asking too much is it?
GB33, Are we sure he meant "this year" (2019) or "this year coming"(2020)?
Hi Geng - this year/next year - many years - decades - centuries? It’s a magical mystery tour!
If RY is to be believed, then he did say the resource update is due this year, and met work in Q1. I would hope it would be released before the AGM otherwise the value for the event will once again come from the paid-for drinks.
Hi in one of the interviews I'm sure he said late this quarter as in last thing, another poster commented then there will be no Santa rally. So I dont think we will get the RNS before the end of the week.. sorry

Hi GB33,
"Am interested to see if officially joining up the deposits will take us to 200mt ore and 2t Ni equivalent and 25 years LOM.

No, it's not, but,
"Being as we were told last week this would be public this year, I wonder if it will drop before the AGM"
Hmmmmmm, we were told PFS by end of Q4 2017, media week 09/18 and strategic review update 03/19, so maybe this part is, once bitten twice shy.
Let's hope he delivers, would make a pleasant change, but don't hold your breath.
Hi JoeBass,
Given previous form, there will always quite rightly be significant cynicism when RY makes one of these comments about impending updates/communications. I'm disappointed to say that the whole AMC show needs some fresh thinking RY seems to be on a repeat loop wherein these updates present little new information or progress.
However, the "resource estimate being public this year" statement was made by Paul McKay, so it will be interesting to see whether he's good for his word, or is just another chip off the block.
I am reflecting though on what it is we clearly don't know. Why would Tom come on board and invest his own money? The asset manager and clients, regardless of discount to SP, still need to be confident they'll get their money back with profits. In that regard, the shareholder register from November to December showed a 1.8% (14.8mn share) reduction in the Bank of New York nominees. This isn't them rushing for the exit - given the overall volume traded in that period.
Even the board/senior managers have finally invested some of their own money.
One day the mists will clear. Until then though RY seems to have done a good job of making himself uninvestible. New news is needed if AMC is to attract new investors and lift the SP. But news of any kind remains hard to come by!
Hi TDT,
And it will be interesting to see how much it's changed in January. Their potential profit on current selling price is below 10% (shouldn't knock that mind) and with no new interest it doesn't look like it's about to throw out a bigger margin. I guess a give away might be if we see an increase in sales should the resource update bring in a few buyers as they're few and far between right now!
I have been in AMC for quite a few years and I am in the same age range as Robin.
I've always had the hope that travelling to and from a pretty inhospitable part of the world would be something he would want to finish as soon as possible so that he could spend a well-earned retirement in his native Canada having discovered this huge resource and successfully sold it for further development.
What went wrong with his (and my) dream?
Colbaltblue
The difference here is
Your invested and waiting for the dream to come true where as RY is living the dream seeing his baby grow and grow in age on our expenses..
